If Guehi goes to city we are an absolute joke. So obvious we need a CB and we have one here who is available but we seem to not be acting. Guehi could be our CB for the next 5 years, captain material to. The fact we will spunk £130m on Isak that did we really need and not be jumping at the chance to get Guehi.
Even if slot isn't here next season any manager in the world would want Guehi. First Semenyo then Guehi, hughes and co are a fail.

When you say every manager in the world would like Guehi, Thiagos, if memory serves me, 12 months ago there were loads on here saying he wasn't good enough and we should be looking at better. I may be wrong, but I'm sure one of the Eds was saying similar. Guehi has suddenly become the modern day Bobby Moore! Would I like him at this moment in time? Yes, but that's due to the pickle we are in at the moment.
Do I believe there are better options out there? Yes I do. If we don't get him this month, I'm confident we will get a better CB, maybe 2, come the summer.
{Ed001's Note - to be fair, Guehi has come on in leaps and bounds this season Rome. Especially when you consider that usually players dealing with a disappointment like he did, with the deadline day move collapsing, usually end up fading away. He seems to have used it to drive him on to be better and that mentality is exactly what teams need.}

How do you see the Guehi thing playing out Ed?

I agree with that, Ed01, he seems to be as good a character as he does a player. Like I say, I'd like him, because he would definitely improve our team at this moment. Let's wait and see if he is desperate for us and runs down his contract, which is his right to do, and we land him in the summer on a free.
But, if he does join City, I'm fairly confident we will bring in 2 quality CBs in the summer. Or, not for the first time, I may be deluded.

Agree with Rome and Ed1. There is a feeling that we are in dire need of CB and it is only Guehi that can solve and hence the dispair. Agree with Ed1 on the dissappointment and still contributing to the team.
Haven't seen him closely to have +/ - opinion. Believe there are better outside but not sure are attainable or if we are really looking at buying.

Guehi does the simple things well consistently and gets the ball into the midfielders quick, and that's what you tell young players to do, I have allowed my mind to imagine Leoni and Guehi as a quality settled paring for the next 5 seasons with Bradley and Kerkez either side, now my mind is imaging we are a couple of injuries away from a Endo Konate paring this season, with our best midfielder at right back.
