Ed001 Ekitike decision making seems to be getting worse week in week out.
You can quite clearly see the players instead of improving they are all regressing under Slot.
Spurs are truly awful and we could not finish them off with there confidence at what must be the worst in the league after the run off games they are on Galatasaray looked terrible last week but we still found away to lose but I have no confidence in us turning it around on Wednesday.

I don't see the club acting after today but if they go out of the Champions league and then don't beat Brighton I think he will be gone.
Do you think Alonso will come in before the end of the season if we go calling Ed or do you think it will only be at the end of the season for him and we will need a temp manager till then.
If so do you think Gerrard will come in if he does surly he can't be any worse.

{Ed001's Note - the issue with Stevie is he wants the job permanently.}

The thought of Gerrard coming in sends a shiver down my spine. I agree with you, though, Grino. If we go out Wednesday, I think he could be gone.

What's the point? It's all too late. The season has been over for ages. They just walk around like pre-season. The club don't care one bit, the manager doesn't care, the players have checked out, and Anfield is silent.

Ed001 I thought he had talks and was happy to come in temporarily.
I do think if he had come in when he should have at the end of November with this league being so poor I think we would have been right up there in the title race and it would have been hard to sack him.
I watched City last night Ed and I thought they just reminded me of us so slow and predictable.

I can't say I have seen a good team all seasons in the league or champions league. I don't know if you have seen anyone that stands out Ed but I think Arsenal are a pretty average team and I think they have a great chance to win everything because I can't think of a side that will stop them.

{Ed001's Note - Arsenal are the best side in the Prem and that is why they will win it.}

He won't be taking over, so they won't give him the permanent position.

I sincerely hope we don't consider Gerrard. I love the guy, but I don't think he's near ready for it.

Definitely wouldn't want Gerrard in charge long term, don't really want him to come in but it can't be any worse now.

We contacted Alonso back in January. If he wanted to come in this season, I believe he would have arrived long before now. The other issue Hughes & co have with bringing Gerrard in is that, if they do, even temporarily, and he flops, missing out on a CL spot, every pundit and newspaper across the country will be asking, "Why didn't you stick with the man who won you the league?" That, in my opinion, puts both of their positions in serious danger. If they leave Slot in charge until the end of the season, they have a scapegoat, but not if they bring in Gerrard and nothing improves.

The real issue is that the stat men don't have the balls to make a decision. If anything happens at this late stage, I think it will have to come from further up the ladder. Whatever happens now, all 3 must go. 9 wins in our last 25 games, a 36% win rate. Fans were booing at the end of today's game, and tickets for today's game were still available on the site up until yesterday.
