I never thought I'd say this, but I actually like the idea of Gordon more and more as time passes. Stylistically, he's exactly what we've been missing: a lightning-quick, battling left winger who presses and presses. Add to that English or Scouse, and his Champions League output, I think it'd be a decent signing.

Speaking of Gordon's, anyone remember Dean Gordon from the 90s? He used to score some real crackers from left back.

At the end of the day, it comes down to value.
Could Gordon do a job and be a good signing for us? - Absolutely.
Is he worth the money and effort it could take to get him out of Newcastle? - Probably not.
Unless Newcastle are forced to sell players due to missing out on Europe, I can't see us getting him for any kind of good value, and even then I suspect they would offload the likes of Tonail first to balance the books.

I do think he could improve with us, he did have a great season in 22 or 23? He did do very well in CL this season. He's definitely not my first choice, but apparently FSG are going to be tight with the money this summer, so if a deal could be done quickly at a fair price, I think he could be worth giving a shot.
Having said that, Newcastle would probably charge us a fortune and drag it out as long as they could, it would be Isak 2.0, so no thanks.

RR, I think it's actually Slot who uses Silvikrin but rumours are that he's about to switch to Wash 'n' Go, which is also rumoured to be getting a name change to "Just Rinse and F*** off."

I think he played for Palace in the 90s, Shanklys Ghost. An average player that I only remember because he would smash pile drivers into the top corner from miles out.

Pelican, I remember Dean Gordon very well while at Middlesbrough. Scored some bangers, indeed.
As for Anthony Gordon, Newcastle can go fleece someone else with such a limited player as I don't want him here. Never have.
