Personally, I disagree with pretty much every comment Florian posts on here, but to call him out like this with no intention of a discussion, nor trying to provide anything useful to this site, just comes across as ugly. Really, no need to be personal. It's a football rumors and discussions site, not a dating platform. Chill out, brother.

Think he likes a good reaction, and fair play to him if that makes him happy and why he comes here. He can support whoever he likes. This site would be no fun if we all saw things the same way, I'm afraid.

Don't crave reaction at all, MrJones. I'm not 5 years old. Just supported the club a long time, have seen much worse seasons than this and have enjoyed every one of them. Maybe I'm just not as dramatic as some modern fans.

I never get the impression that Florian loves Slot in the least, and I would hazard a guess that he'd prefer that Slot was replaced. It's just that he doesn't think that Slot is the apogee of evil and doesn't invent new names to call him by every day. I think it's fine wanting a change in the dugout, but some stuff on here is tremendously disrespectful.
I want my club to do well and I take no joy out of mocking the manager, calling him Clot/Sloth, suggesting that he is just sticking around for the paycheck, hoping that he is never again remembered as a coach who won us the league, etc. I simply don't understand why this kind of stuff is applauded, and it feels like saying so makes you very unpopular on here right now. If he does get the sack, I think it would be sad if people continue to insult or make fun of him or treat him like an unpleasant footnote in our history. However terrible this season has been, I will always reserve a certain amount of fondness for him. He and his coaching team won us the league.
I don't think he is trying to undermine the club I support, I just think he might not be the right man for the job anymore. Let's not forget that he is still a very young manager who has not faced adversity in his career.
Let's be fair, this season has thrown a huge amount of challenge his way, and the higher-ups have not always been very helpful, giving him the best means to navigate those difficulties. He has done well in certain situations (such as being the public face of the club in the wake of the Jota tragedy) and not well in various others. That's fine, he will learn from this, but we probably can't afford to give him any more time to learn on the job, and he would have to continue his career elsewhere.
I think we all know that the definition of Liverpool football, across styles as wildly different as Rafa's or Jurgen's, is leaving everything on the pitch and working tirelessly for each other for 90 minutes. You can lose a game because of a gulf in quality, but you can't be passive and meek. Also, however bad or decimated by injury Liverpool squad has been over the years, Anfield has almost always been a place that teams are terrified to come to. I find the performances against United and Chelsea indefensible too, and while I hope, based on performances last season, that he knows why we might be irate about that level of application, I fear that there is a chance he might not.

Fields, I like my perspective. I always remember back to the start of the season, we'd won the league obviously in May. We then started the season with 7 straight wins. We lost the 8th at Palace, and after the first loss, the very 1st one, the manager was getting absolute pelters on here. Already been called bald, fraud, a moron, get outa my club etc. Unbelievable. To me that's not Liverpool fan behaviour.
That's AFTV stuff. Found it pathetic. Now, as the season has gone on, we've been poor, but even so there's always been that over the top hatred for me, fuelled by some valid points but also a hell of a lot of hearsay, personal opinion and lies. Didn't like it when it was Klopp and didn't like it this season. That doesn't mean I'm right or I think I'm a better fan, it's just the way I am.

I don't think it's that hard to understand, ed025? I like Slot but I don't think he should continue as our coach. It only doesn't make sense if, like most folks on here seem to think, that not only should I think he shouldn't continue, I should hate him and hope that he's never remembered fondly as well.
