Eds, could we stick up a poll as to whether folks on here prefer Rayan or Diomande? Probably both for the RW position vacated by Mo.

Personally, I'm torn. Diomande looks like the more fancied talent, and is a few months younger, but Rayan has been coached by Iraola and has EPL experience already, albeit only 15 games or so.

Rayan Or Diomande poll

Can't we get both?

Rayan at £70m or Diomande at £100m.

02 Jun 2026 21:00:26
If we get Scott, I don't see them letting us have Rayan as well.

Thanks Ed033. Pretty much a slam dunk for Diomande right now.

If Iraola prefers wingers cutting in, then they are both left footed right wingers of a similar age so I wouldn't see us getting both as they will both likely cost £80m+, gmil. If anything I see us also getting a right footed LW to rotate with Rio and/or Cody, unless Wirtz is being lined up there.

Earlier on I read Rayan's contract has a transfer release clause for £80m, but it kicks in at the end of next season. So Bournemouth won't sell until then. Read it from one of the tabloids though, so it could be a load of crap.

Both a risk tbh, both high ceilings and both probably overpriced based on that, but Rayan has had exposure to the prem, albeit limited so far. I won't lie, the only bit that puts me off Diomande is having another star player having to go to AFCON every 2nd year.

AFCON is now in summer and every four years.

Oh lovely, didn't know they had confirmed that, they had been talking about for a long time. Lovely, I take it back so! I'd still take both if we had the funds, though, as unlikely as it is!
