Arteta, Alonso, Iraola, Emery. 4 Basque managers now in the Prem. All brought up on the same style but I suspect different influences by their coaches they played under.

Only manager on there not to win a big trophy is Iraola.
It's time for him to change that and all the best to him. Very excited to see him implement his ideas on the team and to see them play with energy again.

Apparently, they play football like we do in England in the Basque region. Or at least admire the English game. Could be a reason why so many thrive here.

Very true, Mikey. 19th century was British immigrant workers, sailors, and returning Spanish students. They love intense pressing, wingers putting balls in the box, and being super rigid in shape and defence.

They are also better adapted to the English weather. It rains a lot, especially in the coastal regions, and from the Basque people I've met, they are very open to other cultures, so they adapt better.
