Ed001, do PL clubs add release clauses to the contracts of any of their signings, its not something I've seen or read about? It seems some European clubs do it though.

Plus, they are useless as clubs can just put a crazy figure in like 500 million.

Indeed. Players like Pedro, Gavi, and Yamal have release clauses close to 1b. It's a legal formality more than anything.

Ed001, I read the other day that FIFA were considering making it mandatory for release/buyout clauses to be included. But not sure when, have you heard anything?
