Any suggestions on any academy players who might break through this season. It's good to see pre-season squads when some youngsters get a chance to train, play and experience joining the main squad.
When Rafa was in charge we had an influx of quality Spanish players who signed for us.
Maybe Iraola is waiting for the World Cup to end before the next Spaniards arrive.
I have a feeling we are about to get on a RocknRoll roller-coaster again with Iraola.

Maybe one of Owen Beck or Luke Chambers to be backup to Kerkez, Trey Nyoni, Will Wright, Kieran Morrison might make it. ?

Not sure about nationalities, and specifically Spanish. Bournemouth had one Spanish player in their first team last season, from what I can see.
From the academy I have no idea.
But, for this season, I have hopes for Nyoni and Will Wright getting a chance.

I love it when an academy player breaks through. If anyone can help them it'll be Andoni.

Trent Kone-Doherty might be worth keeping an eye on. His game seems to suit the way that Iraola likes to play. Josh Abe is another, but he is probably a bit more long term. There is also a gaggle of young CBs who could get a look in.

Wright is the most likely given Ekitike's injury, Isak won't stay fit, and Gakpo may yet be sold.

Trent Kone-Doherty left for Molde in February.

The two new CBs are the highlights for me. Ndukwe and Nor Ndaiye. Beck is 23 and injury prone. Should be moved on. Many are over 21, and if not decent loans need moving on.

ArneSlotsBarber, I think Beck and Chambers have missed the boat. If you haven't made it from the Liverpool Academy by a certain age, you are very unlikely to make it at LFC. Beck is 23 and Chambers 22.
There are probably younger full backs in the Academy with a better chance of breaking through. I expect both Beck and Chambers to be sold, or loaned out again at the very least.

Chambers had a good loan in the Championship 2nd half of the season, so he could impress over the next few weeks. Be interesting to see how young Abe gets on in the friendlies, Morrison too.

Josh Abe looks like he could be great. Think he still about 15 tho, isn't he.

ArneSlotsBarber, you know Tsmikas is back, right? You may not rate him, but neither of those youngsters are playing ahead of him as back up to Kerkez. I don't see any of that happening.
