Any interest in Groetzka? He was loosely linked to us (plus Barca and Juventus).
I think he has about 2-3 good years in him left and is a great cover for cdm. Could also help the development of the young players as he has tons of experience. Could be a Milner 2.0.

This was discussed the other week - conclusion was he is slow, not mobile or the profile we need. He isn't as robust or versatile as Milly either.

He is slow, immobile, has little defensive sense, is a big lad, but doesn't use his physicality well, is not a great passer of the ball, and is on massive wages. Bayern are desperate to get rid. The only thing he was good at was arriving late in the box to get on the end of something in the box.

Think that's a bit harsh. He's not aged well, in fairness, but when he first moved there, and a few seasons after, he was one of the top midfielders around Europe. Dominated the middle of the pitch. The 2020 treble winning season under Flick, he was fantastic.

That was in 2017 (10 years ago) when he was at Schalke and rejected us to go to Bayern, which was fair at the time.
Sure, he was a very good player for Bayern but that was like 4 years ago. We need to move on, seriously.
