Looks like Arsenal and Newcastle have agreed on a fee for Bruno G. We can cross him off the Marquee list… The plot thickens. ?

We were never going to go for Bruno. He is 29 and would have demanded too high a wage for us to take him on, quality player but would not have fitted the model for our recruitment team to sanction a deal on him.
Our marquee, I am guessing, will be either Tchouameni or Valverde (very unlikely though), as VG said it was a midfielder, can't think of too many that would be available or a possibility.

Arsenal certainly seem to be strengthening well. They are still missing an out and out goalscorer, though.

Be interesting to see where he plays at Arsenal. He's not a technical player so he'd play in Rice's position rather than Odegaard or Eze's. He's not really a 6 either.
I'm not much of a fan of Bruno, really, he's ok and works hard, but I don't see what else he brings. Joelinton is Newcastle's best midfielder when fit.

Rioss, what PL mids would you class as technical?
Personally I'd have Bruno way ahead of Joelinton on this front, and he seems to be the midfield bully/enforcer.

He will play right in front of the opposition keeper during free kicks, corners and long throws.
