£85m for Savinho. 3 league goals in 53 games over two seasons for one of the best teams in the league.
No wonder PSG want £145m for Barcola. Once this deal is done they might start asking for £180m.

I know Grino. Savinho is absolute dross, I just can't understand that fee. Crazy times.
{Ed001's Note - surely it is obvious? There is a large sell-on for Marmoush, so City will avoid it by selling Spurs the pair with Savinho being valued much higher. If football authorities want to look at corruption in the game, this is a blatant case right there.}

He is not dross, but he is more like a 45-50m player, at the very, very most. If Savinho is worth 85m, I'd say Gakpo is worth 150m.

If he breaks his leg in the next 24 hours, Richard Hughes will probably try to hijack the deal.

Seen a few people mention that Ed, surely Frankfurt are within their rights to raise this issue? Stevie Wonder could see that Savinho is never an £80m footballer, regardless of how crazy the market is!
{Ed001's Note - yes they can complain.}
21 Aug 2026 10:10:28
Ed is right, Frankfurt had 20% sell on of any profit city would make, now they probably get nothing!

Sounds like the Italian Serie A "plus valenza" scam a few years back, Ed01, that a few teams got pinged for. It's seemingly rife.
{Ed001's Note - it is, but that is why they need to stamp down on it.}

Add it to the115 we can here about it in 2050.

The deal for both is going to be £150m, I would say, with how they have performed consistently for City. £75m for the pair is about right.
Marmoush cost City £59m. I would say his value should have gone down, not up, and they paid about £30m for Sarviho, and I can’t see how his value has gone up.
They both could not get into the City first team, and, if anything, seem to have both got further away from it the longer they have been there.

Edd001 like the massive man city puma deal worth 1billion? Far too hard to prove. There's clearly talks behind closed doors and others benefit in other ways. City's owners shouldn't be allowed to operate within football but money talks. It's blatant to everyonelse but it's far too hard to prosecute.
{Ed001's Note - it is actually quite simple to fix - there should be limits imposed on all these deals that are set out explicitly. None of this fair market value nonsense, which is impossible to prove one way or the other. It should be set out exactly what the amount is that sponsors can pay.}
