Whether we get a dm or not, we need someone to hold their position, obvious person Gravenberch, both goals came from him losing possession.

Ping-pong Frimpong not tackling for second goal either. He's even worse now than under Slot. Araujo gotta start rb v Forest next week, and Munoz rw. Now there's a gem of a player. Nyoni to start hopefully too.

We'll see what type of midfielder we sign. Andoni will have to work on Gravenberch significantly, it seems. Crazy for a player on elite wages in the modern game. What does he offer us? A twirl?

Iraola can't be happy with this squad. Surely we can invest some money with this new Bezos deal.
How the hell can you lose Mohammed Salah and not get a right winger in?
How can we go through an entire campaign with no genuine RightBack and still have Frimpong there who's obviously a wing back?
Watch teams run through us all last season and not get a defensive midfielder?
It's like nobody watched us, it's like we've forgotten a full year of dross?

The Bezos money is not for the club; it's for FSG.

Grav shouldn't be allowed past the centre circle. For the first goal, him and Dom were both caught out in Newcastle's box, that's a cardinal sin when playing CM, one goes, one stays, that's gospel/amateur mistakes, unacceptable.

Araujo will
own the RB spot, and Munoz will shelve Rio for
some sub appearances.
Grav is highly
overrated and has had only
half a great season. We need to replace the brainless Kerkez already.

Gravenberch might sit more if he could pass.
He can't, so he runs with the ball.
He's a runner and very often runs out of position.
Szob is similar but a better passer and runner. He's not a good enough passer to be a deeper midfielder, though. He's a better number ten or wide player, for me.
The midfield is unbalanced.

Not sure Araujo has the mobility to play fullback. He looks ok at CB, but nothing yet to suggest he can or should switch position. Before we signed him, I heard he was quick; he hasn't particularly looked it so far.

Frimpong was poor, but he had Rio in front of him who really offers no help and was poor, yet has escaped scrutiny. Yes, I know he was playing on the right and he's a kid, but really offers very little, a few step overs then cut inside, could do with going back to the u18s or u21s, but that won't happen because he was promised first team football.
