Sorry to miss quote you Ed1 if I'm wrong but I'm sure years ago you said Klopp pushed for Nunez over Isak?
I think we are seeing why, he may be an absolutely phenomenal finisher but he's pretty useless otherwise, Nunez obviously couldn't hit a barn door but he caused chaos up there which was so good for us.
This team just isn't set up for our 2 most expensive signings (not their fault of course) something needs to change.

Nunez was a terrible player. If the standard is to cause chaos, you'll find that at Sunday League across the country. I expect more from a multi million pound football player playing for a Club with title winning ambition to have more than just that and a bit of stamina. Anyway, that's past. Thankfully.

Nunez is lacking in so many departments, especially his composure and finishing skills.
But what he does have in abundance is his heart, effort and passion. He'll literally run through a brick wall for the team. And his chaos, it helps put their attention on him, making their defence disjointed and for Salah and Diaz to have more space to hurt opposition.

I'm sorry, but if Nunez could finish he would have been exceptional. I get strikers are based on goals, but the chances he had/created were good. I believe a while ago ed001 said they should have had Fowler working with him, and I agree.

He's as likely as any other CF in the other 9 Prem League games next week. Yesterday wasn't great, but we were never going to be the finished article in game one. We still have three or possibly even four new players to arrive at the club imo.

What I would do for a modern day Rush, Fowler, Owen or Bobby right now. I don't think we need chaos but we do need heart, determination, passion and fight. I'm not sure modern footballers have any in abundance.
