Hi guys, talking to my friend tonight who suggests there is a lot of talk amongst the other ground staff about a genuine possibility that Trent could be making a return for a heavily reduced fee and taking a large pay cut.
Interesting to see if it has any legs.

All Trent would need to do to be an upgrade on Frimpong is do exactly what Frimpong did on the weekend, plus land a few more crosses on a player wearing the same shirt as him.

Trent would help Isak and Munoz. Makes sense from an attacking perspective.
{Ed0666's Note - I’d take Trent back absolutely. He’s a better defender than Frimpong, we have Araujo who can play there also and like you say what he gives us in chances created would be worth it in my opinion because Frimpong and Kerkez won’t be creating any.

But yeah. I'd take him back, but only on loan. Exercise the option to buy only after he's clawed his way up the ranks.

Trent would push other teams back a few yards, particularly if we had Barcola and Munoz pace out wide. It'd help ease pressure on the midfield even though he'll also get caught defensively every so often.

Not for me. Someone who puts that much effort in to leave (learning Spanish) can stay left. No way back. Can't believe some of you would even contemplate it.
{Ed0666's Note - I’d take El Hadj Diouf back if it meant Frimpong not being our RWB this season. To be fair when Trent started speaking Spanish at his Madrid unveiling I wasn’t feeling let down by him I was too busy being impressed that he learnt a new language and speaking it with such aplomb.
