I watched a few videos of Fernández-Pardo. He looks like a good player — young, can play RW, LW and CF, very quick and a good finisher.
The downside is that he's left-footed.
At the reported price (around €50m), it seems like he'd be a better deal than Mbaye.

I'm curious how having a player that can play right wing, but is left-footed, is a downside. Haven't we had that fairly successfully for the past decade?

He is very clearly not ambipedal... His left foot is no better than any other right-footer in any of the top 5 leagues. He has also only played on the RW 7 times in his entire career, and of his 26 goals, a grand total of 1 has been with his left foot... What are we doing here?

I often wonder, these are professional footballers, and some are so reluctant to use their 'wrong foot'. Do they spend any time training with their wrong foot?
I think of times where attacks have broken down because Robbo has cut back inside. Times where Mo has passed with the outside of his left boot, when a right-footed cross would have been more effective.
Gakpo gets a lot of stick for doing his cutting-back to his right foot. Are there many two-footed (not tackling, we had Smith, Souness & McMahon for that!) players about?

George Best was famously right-footed so he trained hard with his left foot until his left foot became his preferred foot.
