Mitoma of Brighton running down his contract which is up next summer. Would love someone like him to come and replace Chiesa in that squad role.

Loved Mitoma, injuries have ravaged him at this stage though and given his age and reliance on pace, was a shell of himself last season when he could stay fit and then missed the WC too. I'd say it's probably a steer clear unfortunately. As would have bit your hand off 2 years ago for him, exciting player but hamstrings could be goosed now.
Also better off the left, I think we have enough players who can play both sides now but most favour the left too. i'd focus on trying to get a left footed right winger still like a Minteh or similar.

On a free thought, Traore?
He's had around 3 significant injuries, including the current hamstring, but in the seasons in between them he's missed a handful of games if that.
My concern with him is that he's another right footed left winger - I checked on Transfermarkt and he's played less than 10 games down the right, compared to over 170 games on the left.
I'm not sure we need another one to go with Barcola, Gakpo, Rio, Munoz (albeit he's looked great on the right too) etc.
I'd be interested in a RW who's out of contract at the end of the season, though, as we need the depth there. Hopefully we get Minteh in Jan, along with another one in the summer (if I'm asking Santa, then one who qualifies as HG!)

Yeh even on a free tbh Zed. He'll be 30 come the start of next season and while injury record not the worst previous, the last couple of seasons it's more common and ageing players especially ones as quick as Mitoma it'll take it'll toll. Think we've better options already with our wingers. I don't really think we need to replace Chiesa as he barely plays, I feel like Munoz and Rio will do most of that piece.
Id rather us focus on getting players that will improve us that signing squad buffers, I'd rather the kids coming through be the "chiesas" to he honest the likes of an Abe or something.

Love Mitoma, but I really think that spot should be taken by a youth player or an experienced player in a position where he might actually be needed to play.
