Apparently we're negotiating a change in Harvey Elliott's loan deal, not to bring him back but to change the threshold on the obligation to buy. Should give him more game time and help preserve a bit of value rather than him being stuck in no man's land.

On the topic of changes to loan agreements, I really don't understand why we haven't just contacted Dundee United to recall Luca Stephenson. We could even send them Ramsay as his replacement and I'm sure they'd be well up for that given his time at Aberdeen. Slot spoke very highly of Luca in pre-season and he can cover RB, CB and CM.
Instead of trying to sign injured players like Read/ Dumfries or players on loan at other clubs like Geertruida, this would be a lot easier to do. Fed up of the transfer window now. Just want it to shut now before any of our top 5 rivals strengthen further.

Should have been done months ago. There shouldn't have been any of this minimum games nonsense in the first place. Apparently Villa decided back in October that they weren't going to sign Elliott on a permanent. If they are only just telling us this now, it is an appalling abuse of trust.

Its not up to us jimmy. Last week people were moaning poor Harvey wasnt getting playing time. The club can't win. Villa aren't going to want to pay us to cancel his loan.
