It's a tricky one. There's no point offering a contract if they can't offer what he wants - guaranteed playing time. The PR sounds bad when he says 'no contract is offered' but fair play imo. Robbo wants to leave and that's his call. Legend and wish him all the best.

Clearing the way for Alonso to build the next dynasty, without having unsuitable players dumped on him. I hope Alonso is able to have more control than Slot, more akin to Klopp, who was happy to accept what the data boys said, to a certain extent.

I'm not sure this is really controversial? Robbo has been a fantastic player, you don't win two league titles and a Champions League otherwise. But his time is up, it's part of the natural order of things. Given he is no longer first choice, it makes no sense having a non home grown player as a back up, that should be one of the youngsters like Beck.
Pound for pound, one of the best signings the club has ever made and right up there with Alan Kennedy as one of the best left backs to play for the club in my honest opinion.

Celtic have Tierney and pay him a huge wage. Can't see them wanting Robertson for the same position and an even higher wage.

Scotland play a back 5 to accommodate both, which Celtic would never play. I agree he's better, but Celtic won't be able to sell Tierney due to his high wage and injury record, and he won't want to leave. Robbo will go elsewhere.
