Ed1 what's your take on Slot "potentially" staying according to the press mouth pieces and now some of the ITK's? I find it a hard thing to understand when slot has been unsettled and clearly homesick.

I see no sense in offering Slot a new deal at this point. Start next season the way we have played this & end of last, his position will again, quite rightly, be questioned.
He's shown no indication that he can arrest the situation & could go same way as BR.

So assuming he stays, what is the plan with this team? There is no consistency in any guise, be it tactically, form, style, speed of play, lineups (of course injuries notwithstanding) etc. Nevermind, results, it's just boring to watch. I just have no idea what the actual aim is for the future of this team. Does Slot?

Strom, you're joking, aren't you? It was all over the press last week that he's set to continue. Some of the supposed ITK's on here reckon he will still leave. Bottom line is, if he stays we're finished. Watching Bayern and PSG this evening shows we're light years away.

This constant pining after Diaz is frankly embarrassing. He's no better than Trent in my eyes. This was a player who, after we supported him and his family through their most difficult time, when his father was kidnapped, got his father to come out and say that Barca was his dream club and that he'd like to play there one day.
That's a slap in the face if I ever saw one. And the only reason why he went to Bayern instead of Barca despite Barca being in for him was because Bayern offered him more money.
The mistake was not that we sold Diaz. The mistake was that we didn't get a replacement in for him for the LW.

No, Dracred, calling one comment that was much more about Gakpo than Diaz 'frankly embarrassing'. Well aware he wanted to leave - common knowledge - but I will say that he's streets ahead of Gakpo, and perhaps his pay also had something to do with it. Wanted Barca, but went to Bayern and his salary went from £55k a week with us to £250k, so no wonder he wanted out.
Meanwhile Gakpo is on £250k a week and features almost constantly. Great job LFC! Add to that that LFC paid more for Isak than City paid for Cherki, Guehi and Semenyo, and you can see who really is 'frankly embarrassing'. The current state of our club.

Yes, absolutely agree whilst I think the intentions of the ITKs are genuine, it's clearly a ploy from the club to stop the leaks. How did we go from Slot leaving 100% guaranteed to staying until Xmas! Refuse to believe that we are that badly run as a club.

Sorry, FSGenius. I meant the post wasn't solely directed at you, but at the tonnes of other posts on both the discussion and banter pages spreading their cheeks for a player who spat in our face. Also, Gakpo outperformed Diaz while on the LW last season even though Diaz played most games through the centre. He is generating higher numbers now, but he is also in a far weaker league. Even players like Werner and Sancho looked good in the Bundesliga.
Even putting the money part aside, Diaz has been wanting to leave us for two seasons already, constantly putting out statements that his dream club is Barca. His dad's literal first news conference after being rescued was about how he hopes his son would move to Barca. And this was after we supported both him and his family through that ordeal. I'm sorry, but I can't support a player who acted that way towards us. Good riddance to Diaz.

I'm confused, why would we wait till December? How does that benefit anyone?
Nagelsmann has the World Cup and is effectively done after that, so wouldn't we go for him straight after?
I don't understand why December is the time we would decide to act, potentially ruining another season.
FSG were always running our club at a professional level, not making knee jerk decisions like other clubs. Right now, with all this information, it seems like a circus.

Ed, I don't know whether to laugh or be angry at the fact that the peoples in charge of our club have decided that no matter how many losses we suffer this season, how boring and uninspired our football is, or how many unwanted records the current manager sets, as long as he's happy, he can stay as Liverpool manager.
If only it were that easy at my job. I could make mistake after mistake, completely mess up my work, fail to meet every requirement, and my boss would still say, 'Don't worry—as long as you're happy, you're doing great.' What a dream that would be.
