Carra, whats the latest on Diomamde? How close do you think it is? Also do you believe him to be the Salah replacement?
In my opinion, I think Adam Wharton would thrive at Liverpool. what's your opinion, or other possible options.

Palace won't sell Wharton for less than £100m given how much City are paying for Anderson, and even then he's not exactly the kind of midfielder who's going to make a difference for us as he's not a defensive midfielder, so we'll be just as soft in the middle as we were last season.

Wharton will be too expensive, but I don't understand why people don't rate him? He's always struck me as dynamic, and someone whose intelligent passing can take control of midfield.
Reminds me a bit of Jamie Redknapp, and we have lacked that kind of midfielder since Thiago (when he was fit).
However, if Wirtz is to be one of a midfield three, then there is no room for Wharton, and we just need hard-working midfielders alongside him - which we have in Szob and Grav.

Monsterous, you answered your own question there. I think people do rate him, but he is not the profile we need for squad balance.
