Guys been an avid reader on here since the very start. Not an ITK or claim to be, just passing this on. My uncle is friends with someone high up inside the club. He manages a high end apartment complex owned by Saudi sheiks and this person has an apartment in that complex which he has use of free of charge.
Araujo deal took me by surprise as well, and after speaking to him he says Iraola has pushed for this over other options on the table for CB RB cover. Everyone knows all about STC Hughes and his reputation on here, so no need to go into that, but target list had to be scrapped as Iraola didn't feel they would suit his system.
Iraola and Woodfine have drawn up new list; only player we were interested in previously is Barcola. Expect a few left field signings before end of window.
Another thing I was delighted to hear was that we are going back to targeting young hungry players who we can turn into top class, not big money signings that rarely work out for us.
Looking forward to season starting and being able to watch us again. Hopefully don't get torn to shreds sending this.

Good to hear from you. Fingers crossed, I like the idea of us going after the Salah, Mane type players, good potential and then turning them world class. I think that works better for us, though I am happy we have Isak and Wirtz, I just think it's a much better transfer policy.

Tags, that's music to my ears as I personally feel uncomfortable with the signings of established but expensive players over the last two seasons. I've argued it's lazy scouting, and I've always felt the club was in a better place morally by not matching the transfer dealings of either City or Chelsea, but that's just a personal (possibly outdated) preference.
I love the mix of younger, less established players, merged with a team of experience.

Nice to hear that Iraola's opinions on transfers are being given more consideration. I think the powers that be recognised the framework under Edwards simply wasn't working. Looks like Iraola's 'head coach' role has become a little more managerial. Great stuff. Give the man his tools.

This actually makes perfect sense and would explain a lot. The delay in transfers, as we had to readjust.
I like the thought of AI and Woodfine working closely together. The way it should be.

I think many on this site need to have a word with themselves when someone who seems to be new posts interesting info and has to qualify it with a "hope I don't get torn to shreds". Sad to read that. If everyone starts feeling this way, no info will get shared - and I'll stop visiting 30 times a day.
So please, everyone, wind your necks in. Let's make it comfortable for anyone to post (even the kn0bheads seeking attention). YNWA.
