We're really gona miss Hendo, he's the conductor to our orchestra n he's set the standard the manager demands. Don't forget when we went close under brendan everyone remembers the Gerrard slip but Jordan was missing for those last 3 games. Maybe wouldn't have made a difference but.
I can't think of a footballer who turned his club career around more than him, from getting booed off to the club trying to sell n end up a hero! Can anyone think of a bigger turn around?

{Ed025's Note - yeah jim, when hendo said he cared about human rights mate.. :)

He’s 33 let him go he’s been top class for us he deserves him pay and leaves a legend!
No stop the sentimental carry it’s that very reason we are in this state and needing a rebuild!

I can’t believe Hendo got himself in great shape for a move to Saudi.

The Saudis were hugely involved in 9/ 11 yet that hasn't stopped America from taking their cash, including Donald trumps son in law who was giving a 2 billion investment sum! N yet you expect a footballer to be the standard barer of decency ahead of the president of America not to mention every other government their flooding with cash! Wake up n open your eyes.

The Liverpool captain disappearing off to Saudi, can't believe it.

I’m pretty sure quite a lot of us have, for example, worn sports apparel made by poor souls working in slave labour conditions. To a greater or lesser degree, we all knowingly or otherwise turn a blind eye most of the time. As I keep saying I think I have a conscience but I’d take £700k a week. Collectively people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, imho.

{Ed025's Note - even if you already had £23M in the bank WDW?, then shame on you mate..

Yup. In three years that 23 turns to 123. Bit hard to say no to.

I think the truth is if this was Naby, Matip and Jota taking big wages in Saudi over Hendo, Bobby and Fab then the narrative would be 100% different.

The same as how Ronaldo was perceived when he was the first to jump ship.

People can still love Hendo for what he’s done for the club and still criticise this particular decision.

For me he’s chosen what is best for him financially and has probably put his England career and last few seasons of his career at risk of going into the wilderness.

If someone had claimed they had inside knowledge of Hendo going to Saudi 5 months ago they would have been ridiculed off here and called a troll.

I don’t think badly of him and wish him all the best but I also won’t kid myself and try and argue that he’s not going there purely for money and goes again y everything he has said out loudly for years.

Would I go to Saudi for massive money. Of course I would but at the same time I don’t wear rainbow coloured arm bands and laces or speak to media about human rights in these countries.

Hendo has created this pushback with his prior actions but as per everything it’ll soon be forgetter about and people will move on to something else.

Usually ed25 i agree with you, but he can secure financially the future generations .
of his immediate family and some. He may even give sone to charity also. Yes the country has poor human rights records, but so do so many that we conveniently take a blind eye to.

{Ed025's Note - if he was an average earner john i could see why you would say that mate, but the guy was earning £7M a year at liverpool and has a net wealth of £23M, that is enough to secure the future for the next 10 generations, now if he was not a guy who had spoken out about the horrific human rights issues in the region and the LFC figurehead for the LGTB+ community then maybe you could have a case, listen this is my last words on it as im not his judge, time to move on..

Ed 25 disappointed you didn't rely to my reply seein has your the standard every human being should aspire to be n you get to look down your nose at good people.

{Ed025's Note - it was posted by another ED jim, i dont pretend to be a saint mate..far from it, but i do have a conscience if thats what you mean?, anyway its done now so no use crying over spilt milk..

Forgetting about replacing Hendo, or if in fact he should’ve moved in the first place
I just want to say, what a f*****g Captain! He might’ve slowed down a lot because we didn’t sign anyone to share the load.
But that man was an absolute machine in our midfield. Thank you Jordan. Wish he could’ve had a send off like Bobby. The Hendo shuffle will live forever YNWA.

{Ed025's Note - excellent captain i must say LFC8..

Ed most of Evertons players, the stadium and the liver building where bought with russian money, didn't hear you complaining about that, the lbqt thing is a load of nonsense anyway and just more divide and conquer tactics if you read between the lines. Did Henderson or any other professional really give a toss about lbqt rights in Saudi? I doubt it there's a lot worse going on.

{Ed025's Note - as i say time to put this to bed mate..

I think you misunderstand the disappointment of maybe old skool Reds, JK23.
From a time when our manager was a self-proclaimed socialist, Kevin Keegan was given grief for chasing the money in Germany and politics was an everyday reality in the 80s.
That spirit is still present as you will know.
It started to go pear shaped in the 90s with a bunch of yuppies in red shirts and white suits.
I thought Klopp had got that spirit back, and Hendo seemed to embody that old skool Liverpool mentality.
Agree with Ed025, how rich do you need to get?
Does Robbie Fowler still have his property portfolio?
I don't know, feel let down to be honest.

Hey Ed25 I your biggest fan n I'm sorry if I didn't sound like it I really appreciate all your Inmput n hard work but we're all part of the same bull we look down our noses at people n then we do exactly what Rupert murdock tells us I just hate people looking down their nose at good people n Jordan Henderson is good people.

{Ed025's Note - thats why its best put to bed now jim mate..

Hendo served the club with distinction, never let the club down, always gave back to the fans, won the lot as captain and leaves a legend in my eyes.

Once he leaves Liverpool he might as well be playing on Mars, I don’t care what he does within the letter of the law.

21.) 20 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 22:39:02
We all want to do better, earn more, look after our kids / the future etc. I don't really care whether you're on minimum wage or a pro footballer, the principle by and large remains the same to do better and look after your family.

Good on him I say.

We live in a country with a billionaire prime minister an a former prime minister who openly flouted the rules during a C.V. and has gone on to earn millions from 'speaking' seminars whilst having his rent paid by a billionaire CEO.
Maybe everyone should cast their eyes closer to home.

Just a point to add, How do we know that Hendo wasn’t obligated to wear rainbow laces. The England Manager was more interested in politics than trying to win a WC, as Hendo was involved with the England set up, maybe he had to place that stuff on his social media?

Good luck to Hendo, thanks for being a great Captain, we now have a really exciting season ahead with a rebuild that everyone wanted.
