It’s being reported that Chelsea are close to agreeing an offer for Lavia.

We have already had a bid accepted by Brighton.

Caicedo would prefer to join Chelsea.

Who’s to say that Lavia wants to join Chelsea to be 3rd or 4th DM?

We are currently in a stronger position with Caicedo (bid accepted) than Chelsea are with Southampton (talks continuing) .

Let’s not give up all hope yet.

Sorry, I didn’t make myself clear.

There’s a lot of fear that Chelsea will buy both Lavia and Caicedo, due to Caicedo wanting Chelsea.

The point I was making is that what if Lavia wants us?

The second point is that we are actually further ahead with one player (bid accepted) than Chelsea are with the other (bid made) so let’s not be all doom and gloom just yet.

I completely agree that we don’t want Caicedo if he doesn’t want us.

And I think we have made a hash of things in the second half of this window, unfortunately.

I’d be interested to know whether this is more down to Klopps growing power or Jorg?

I don’t see the issue with buying a young quality player who plays 3-4 seasons with us does very well, helps us win trophies and then wants to move to Real for a what you would imagine would be a big fee.

Players leaving clubs is part and parcel of the game.

We all know Hallaand wants Real but that’s not stopped him doing the business for City prior.

I obviously don’t know the ins and outs like everyone else on this page and most of the journalists going off the contradicting reports but I could personally go for an interview for 2 jobs and prefer one over the other and prefer that job but at the same time would be happy to take the other if that was the only one offered to me.

When he Lavia come out and said he’d want to move to Chelsea? Most of the reports I saw have said the exact opposite. By all means if that’s true then fair enough, but I don’t see the appeal? Their not in Europe and he’ll be third choice as it is and 4th choice if they get MC whereas with us he’s pretty much a guaranteed starter as we don’t have a single DM until Bajectic gets back.

If Caicedo joins the squad he and the other players will be fine. So will the fans except the strange ones that expect players to have dreamt of playing for the club since they were in the womb.

Hardly think we have to do the"decent"thing here and retract the bid, we have done absolutely nothing wrong. Think Brighton, Chelsea and the players camp have to look at themselves before we do. As far as not wanting him now im on the fence either way. I've said from the start id rather us go for Lavia but to say Caicedo couldn't do the business for us after this is crazy. Roy Keane had practically signed for Blackburn before Man U and don't think Utd fans cared.
