Liverpool have just put a round table video on YouTube with Ali, Mo, and Robbo - really enjoyable watch but what comes out of that is how much Mo loves our club and City - the inspiration he gives the young lads and new players coming in sounds unreal - I know you can’t do loyalty in football but his performances this year show that we should give him a contract so he has the chance to break as many individual records as possible just to cement him as one of the best players the premier league has seen! Worth a watch if you have a spare 28 mins - it’s just a shame that all good things have to come to an end and seeing these players who have given us so much joy leave in the years to come is gutting!

On back of his performances in the games so far this season he deserves a 2-3 year deal. He’s learnt to adapt his game as he’s getting older to still be a massive impact.

If Salah continues the way he is going (as well as VVD btw), the club is going to have a hard time explaining to the fan base as to why they let both Salah and VVD go.
Cos at that point, both players (Trent is gone, imo) will have the leverage for a new deal and have all the cards on their side. The club will either have to pay up or face the fan bas's wrath should they go.

Interesting to hear what peoples thoughts are on whos the most important of the 3 to retain.
I'd love to see all 3 stay but it could be argued that whilst Trent has the biggest sale value to retain he's also questionably the easiest to replace in the fact that we already have Bradley in the squad.

@Sofa, I just watched the roundtable vid you mentioned and it was an absolute banger. Some great memories were shared in this video and they even went back to Robbo's, Ali's and Salah's younger years when they started their journey in football before they came to us.
And If anyone wants to know why Mo Salah has the mentality, focus and obscene professionalism he possesses, just give it a watch. You'll be amazed. Top guys, these lads and really great human beings.

Just watched it as well. Agree, Mo is a mentality monster. If I had to keep 2 out of the 3 I would keep Mo and VVD. Still hoping we keep all of them.

@sofa fan, i disagree. Kissing the badge and saying " i have been childhood fan of xxx club" are the definitive expressions of love and loyalty for the club. Both which were never done by Salah. He only shows off his abs when he scored. Hence no go for me.

So the club just pays them what they want and for how long they want it to not incur the fans' wrath?
The fans that have no ideas how much they want and for how long?
The fans that also wanted to sell them so the club could receive a fee?
The same fans that criticised their manager for his loyalty?
You couldn't make this up ?.

At times last season he looked on a decline big time, however this season he's been superb so far for us, some games he's none existent then Bam. Easily gets a 2 year contract.

He gets a 2 year contract if he’s not asking for something ridiculous. Unless you fancy paying his wages Magico?

I think because he hasn’t kissed the badge he gets more respect from me - he is a foreign player so the whole “I have supported this club since I was a little lad” is a joke - to many sports where players kiss one badge then move to another and kiss that one, I’m confident to say that’s a joke - he is the first in, last out, he is asking previous successful managers how he can become great and done this wearing our badge - the dedication he shows to be a professional (selfishly or for the team) he is doing it in Liverpool colours.
I seem to wake up each day feeling differently about who I wouldn’t mind going or they can’t possibly leave and it’s probably all based on the last performance - the old saying your only as good as your last game stick in my mind. Today it’s Mo and VVD that I feel we can’t let go, yesterday it was Trent and VVD tomorrow will probably be different but for what Mo has done for the club and how he still speaks about how successful he wants to be with Liverpool, I don’t want him to go at the end of the season.

The difference between Mo's situation this time and last time seems to be that it appears that he really really wants to stay this time. Maybe he has realised now that he has already given us 8 great years, he could potentially give us 2-3 more and move above everyone bar Rush and Shearer in the record books. And possibly he has fewer options in terms of moving because of his age.
Virgil i see no reason to not renew. He has shown no signs of physical decline in a position that doesn't require that much pace either. Right now it looks like he could be the best defender in the world for a few more years atleast.
Unfortunately, Trent seems the most dicey at this point. He has been much better defensively, but this system is not built around him unlike Klopp's teams. So he seems a bit less fundamental as compared to previous years. It would hurt a lot if he does leave though, and I just wish we sign all three.

And what do you think he's worth a week then pecker?

Great video thank you for recommending it!

Not for nothing but declan rice kissed the irish badge when he played for us. Yeah its different I suppose.

Kissing the badge means nothing to me personally. Salah never kissed the badge and he's still hear a decade after. Other players have kissed the badge at LFC and bolted at the first or second opportunity they got. Not sure why this act proves anything, IMO.
