Fellow Kopites which New CB's would you like to see arrive at Anfield sooner than later?
I would like us to sell Konate as his heart isn't at Liverpool anymore so to bring in 2 New CB's is a must! Personally I'm still torn between the following 3 CB's
Guehi, Lukeba and my Favourite young Hato of Ajax who has played with VVD at International Level and being Left footed can Play CB/ LB and CDM so is very versatile and best of all would jump at the chance to join us and only 19 Years old.
Also would sell Diaz who again wants to move to Pastures Green with his Heart set on a move to Barcelona which reminds me of Coutinho all over again but if he does move how about replacing him with the money from his sale and Bring in Real Madrids Rodrygo who in my eyes is a younger and more skillful than Diaz!
Finally a Striker has to be brought in as initially as replacement for Nunez but after the Heartbreaking news about Jota accident he will need to be replaced and why not go for the French Lad Hugo Ekitike of we can get a better price than the
£85-£95m being quoted?
Be interested to hear your thoughts on CB's Diaz Replacement and a new striker and would you keep Nunez for another year if no offer comes in close to our Valuation as Napoli just low balled us with an offer of around £46M. Look forward to your picks or suggestions. YNWA.

Nunez won’t stay for another year, slot said he can cope with missing goals but not lack of effort, think nunez burned his bridges with his not even trying.

Rodrygo is a superb player. The stat lovers will say otherwise, but he is a clutch player. He shows up in big moments, he has never had any ego issues dispute playing for a club that promotes arrogance, he works his socks off every week wherever he's asked ot play, he is very unselfish in front of goal, and he makes things happen when the game is at risk of going stale.
It is absolutely no surprise to me that he was dropped for Mbappe, and Real Madrid had their first trophy-less season in years. If Rodrygo is available and wants to sign for us, it's an absolute no brainer. He's got everything in his locker to be as good as Mo Salah for us in my opinion.

Nunez will stay if he wants to or if the club don’t receive a viable offer.
I like Rodrygo too, I’d sign him for a sensible fee but he needs to be a starter.

I’m with you PB, good player but personally don’t think he is of the elite level.
MK, I do agree he’s clutch and works hard but personally I don’t think he has that extra quality we’re looking for. Could be wrong but I’d prefer to stick with gakpo and Diaz and focus on buying a proper 9.
Also a little unfair to put Reals failure down to starting Mbappe. Rodrygo still started nearly 40 games - think the bigger issues was the injuries at CB, RB and not replacing Kroos.

Sorry MK but no, Rodrygo really isn't all that, he does whinge alot, especially to the media if not playing, for the price they want i would run a mile, rather have Gordon who can and does produce in this league, he would be insane for us.

Agbadou, Lukeba, Ait Boudlal and Zeze are all good options for CB.

To be fair to Rodrygo he doesn't play in his preferred position. If you started Rodrygo at left wing and Vini at right I'm not sure Vini would look as consistently dangerous, either. Rodrygo is very hard working and unselfish, it's true, but I would like to think that there is a reason why he is the brazilian winger being played out of position and not Vini.

In terms of centre backs I’m of the view that none of Guehi, Lukeba or Hato are good enough as starters, Guehi isn’t a particularly great defender and is poor in the air, as a squad rotation option he’s fine as he has that Swiss Army knife quality that James Milner had, but as a starter for a team defending a title? He’s very short of being there. Lukeba is injury prone and poor in the air and Hato is just a kid who has more experience at left back than centre back so I’m not sure he’s ready. If we’re selling a starter like Konate then I’d want someone like Boungiorno (yeah, I know, it means negotiating with Napoli) or Loic Bade who both have more of a physical presence and are solid defenders.
As for Diaz, if he does leave, I’d like to see us go for Fofana over Rodygo, all I see with Rodrygo is another Antony type winger and I get that Rodrygo is a clutch player, but I think we want more consistency than that? There is a big talent there with Fofana and he’s worth a go (he’s also keen to join us too by all accounts) . Another I think could do a job is (and hear me out on this one) Semenyo, he’s big, quick, direct, scores goals, has improved year upon year, can also play up top or the wing, he’s worked his arse off to get where he is and who doesn’t like a grafter? He also comes with an English passport so counts as homegrown, and doesn’t eat into the foreign player quota. Kind of like a quicker Dirk Kuyt.
As for striker, who knows. I think it’ll be any one of Isak, Etikite or Sesko. Obviously I’d love us to sign Isak, but realism is that it’s unlikely to be him.
I’d also like Chiesa to stay as his versatility could be important, it looks like he’s got himself fit and he’s clearly a good character around the squad.
