I just read that Ipswich Town rejected a 35mn bid from Brentford for Omari Hutchinson. That is just crazy. If Hutchinson is worth 40, then Eliott is easily 60mn player. While he clearly has talent, I watched a fair bit of Ipswich last season, and I don't remember a single match where he starred.

Depends on where Elliot is heading to! Outside England clubs have no cash unless you are the rich clubs! Napoli bid £25 mill for Nunez. Let that sink in.

I disagree. I thought Hutchinson stood out as their best player pretty consistently. Occasionally outshone by Cajuste, but other than that he always looked like the one player in their team who didn't deserve to be relegated. The rest of the team were the issue as they just weren't on his wavelength and weren't able to play at the speed he was capable of. Even Delap was too much of a lump to play the fast 1-touch moves that Hutchinson was looking for.
£35-40m feels about right for him. I think you're being a bit biased towards Elliott. There is a reason he's surplus to requirements at Liverpool. There is a reason he only played about 800 minutes last season in all competitions. He is probably better than Hutchinson but he's not played regularly enough to command a significantly higher fee and also he has the ongoing issue where he looks too slow to be a winger and too weak to be a midfielder. He's very much pigeon holed by his physique into being a central no.10.
He'll do well at RBL though if that move happens (as the Simons replacement) because he will play in that 10 role with a lot of freedom.
Let's not be unrealistic though. Hutchinson played 2,600 minutes last season in the Premier League. Elliott played 360 minutes in the Prem. That has to be taken into consideration as it shows Hutchinson is a key player for Ipswich who they won't want to lose whereas Elliott is a bit part player for us who we probably do want to sell. A players value is also affected by whether or not the selling club actually wants to sell.

Surprised more English clubs haven’t come in for him.
I think it’s a case of knowing where his nest position is.
It seems to be a 10 but not a lot of clubs play with one.
Newcastle were linked but can’t see him getting in ahead of Tonali, Guimares and Joelinton who in fairness as a 3 are very good.
Only big sized club that might need a 10 now is Spurs.

He should have a bright future Hutchinson although he might end up in another relaxation scrap with Brentford.
Hopefully Elliot shines at RBL if that's where he ends up.

Can’t beat a relaxation scrap Ernest.

Relaxation scrap is a bit of an oxymoron!

Haha brilliant, maybe the first time those words have been put together!

Maybe they just don’t want to sell. Just because someone offers a good price for something, doesn’t necessarily mean you have to sell to them.

Elliot and Hutchinson where the reason England u21’s won the euros. He is very similar to Aaron Lennon as a player already so a decent enough player likely to get better. Any more than 40 million would be too much but he is a fine player.
