Great weekend for LFC . everything fell our way results wise .

Not too sure about this talk about everton deserving a draw . did they even make Ali make a save? Any chances thay you thought . well that was close . they played well and gave us a game . but all in all . think we did enough for the win.

As for tomorrow. play anyone with zero minutes or the fewest minutes and go with that . like to win being at home . but all in all use this cup for minutes in legs.

That was probably Everton fans saying it should have been a draw, honestly can’t see it being Liverpool fans.

Slot said in the press conference that the players were tired from playing three games in a week and that they only had a day or two to prepare for Everton, and it looked that way in the second half, though this usually escapes the attention of fans who think that we can press from the front relentlessly and be on the front foot 90 minutes a game three times a week.

Everton played okay and pressed decently well to try and get a result, they showed more of an ability to play out of our own press than I remember seeing from them probably ever, but I wouldn't go so far as to say they played well. Their set piece delivery was pretty poor considering it's a big part of Moyes' repertoire, they were completely awestruck in the first half hour before Moyes woke up and realised that being so passive was probably going to get them thrashed, Dewsbury-Hall was disappointing on the day and both of their number 9 options up front were woeful technically and in terms of their movement.

Their two best players, N'Diaye and Grealish, are so ridiculously far ahead of the rest of their squad in terms of quality that it makes sense that their tactics revolve around lumping the ball to them at the first available opportunity. Still it isn't much use when your strikers up top are so poor when the wingers do get the ball into the box. Beto is so limited technically and looks so lost leading the line and Barry can run really fast and put himself about but hasn't shown much else ability-wise. Everton's biggest threat in the box is Tarkowski (in this game Gana was their biggest threat in the box) and that feels pretty tragic to me.

We've won the weekend for the second time this season already. And if we beat Palace (easier said than done ( then, there is a good chance that we win next weekend, as well. Up Da Pool!

We are going to use the phrase ‘we won the weekend’ are we? As long as we keep winning I don’t give a stuff about anybody else.

Palace don't have Eze anymore. I think that is really huge for them, they are so dangerous in transition because of the understanding between Wharton, him and Mateta. Munoz is very dangerous too, though, here's hoping Kerkez has a good game against him.

Don't be like that WDW. every game one at a time! Every weekend one at a time ?.

22 Sep 2025 13:57:47
That's the spirit, WDW. Worked lasts season, right?

? We won the transfer window, we won the weekend, we won the coin toss, we won the throw in. We are winners! ?.
