Just wondering who is everyone’s first choice if Slot was to get sacked?
I keep seeing Iraola getting mentioned. However I would fancy Glasner for next season, that’s if we manage to get an interim for the time being.

Glasner's style of play would put Anfield to sleep. Iraola's style is much more aligned.

Big Ron?

Don't think it's if but when he gets sacked. Can't see them beating west ham so he should be gone Monday. Iraola to replace him.

I have liked Iraola for a while but defensively they are worse than us in the PL this season. Crystal Palace are the second best defensively behind only Arsenal. I would favour Glasner over Iraola at this time. Plays good attacking football and keeps them tight at the back.
{Ed001's Note - Glasner does not play good football.}

Fabregas.

Please not Glasner - just don’t think he’s the right fit for us
If we were going for a full on appointment mid season I’d go Iraola - if it’s an interim mid season then I’d exhaust every possibility of Enrique for next season - just my opinion.

I want Slot to stay, but I am surprised no one has mentioned Silva as a potential replacement. He is certainly used to digging his teams out of a losing streak. I am not saying he would be ideal, but he should be in the conversation if people are suggesting Glasner.

That’s an interesting shout RR!
Getting good reviews - I’ve always liked how he comes over when he’s on the tele box.

Well BR i'm just thinking Iraola does not make us defensively sound.

Really interested why people don't want Glasner. Is it simply because he plays a back 3?
Personally I think he plays the system that suites the players. With better class of player surly he would play a more attractive game. I personal think his record at Frankfurt? And Palace is a lesson in how to cut your cloth! Meaning he knows first and foremost how to set up a team. I'm not saying in anyway I want him, but I do think he would do better than what we have right now.
I honestly think Irriolla is not ready to be lfc manager. At least another 3 years yet. Very good potential for future.
My personal preference would be PSG guy lovely attacking footie. Or Alonso. ?if only I had a lamp to rub YNWA.

Well Ed all I saw of them was playing us off the park twice recently so was going by that.
{Ed001's Note - they did it by sitting back and being organised defensively, not by playing attacking footie. They are boring, but very good.}

Luis Enrique…. Turned the egos of PSG into a team… would love to see what he could do with this squad.

Of all managers around my pick would be to get the best version of Slot. Seeing as he seems reluctant to return to what he was doing well last year, I would want Alonso to reunited him with Wirtz, Frimpong and have a historic connection with the club and fans.
I also like that he isn't afraid to play with a back 3, something I have always wanted us to try. Other than that anyone who gets is playing fast aggressive footy again. If that's the chap from Bournemouth then so be it.

Chrisymate - We don't have three good CB's to play three at the back. We don't have one good CB at the moment. Yes Virgil, that includes you.

it's a sucky question tbh.
But to answer, out of those options I'd go for Iraola.
We're also kinda completely disregarding that none of them are available currently. That sounds like bad news to me.
