People saying everybody wanted Salah dropped, yea he needed to be on the bench for a game or two but not banished n exiled from the team like one or two others should be . he is a match winner n a proven goalscorer n we are sadly missing his output, a good manager would be able to find a way to get our most potent threat working, but Slot has no idea how to do this, now its sneaking out that they're trying to get rid of him, plot thickens.

Can’t see many who would disagree with you there Strom.
But in light of Salah airing his dirty washing in public, what would you do now?
Personally I expected him to be come back to the starting lineup for tonight and Saturday, but I can see Slot er al now being in an awkward situation….

Banished and exiled from the team.
Is that what we’re calling being on the bench for 3 games now lol.
Played the 2nd half against Sunderland too.
Absolute no excuses for what Mo had done.
Deal with it behind closed doors.
I’m so surprised people continually back him and excuse what he’s done.
You cannot go public like that.
Inexcusable given the context.

Most folk on here wanted him dropped, if not everyone. The argument that others should've been dropped is also valid. I don't buy that he's been "banished". He just needed to knuckle down and get back to something like the old Mo. When he came on against Sunderland he was lousy. My concern is, and I've expressed this all season, is that he's gone. It happens.
Not sure where this will end up, though I suspect we may have seen him for the last time, which would be sad.

Joint most goals and assists for Liverpool in the PL. As I’ve said before, the figures ain’t great but who has done any better?

ZED, not sure what's actually going on behind the scenes. ED001 has mentioned that they don't want him around anymore, think after agreeing to get him signed on now they want to cash in on him, that's not right esp to Salah .
I was hoping he be benched for 2 games n come back with fire in his belly . can't see that happening now, Looks like the higher ups are backing slot even bfr Salah spoke out .

Alright to be on the bench for a game a game or two but god forbid three. And how has he been banished and exiled. This isn't Maresca sending experienced pros to the u21's for a season. The 1st game Salah was dropped for was NINE days ago. it was only SIX days when he made his comments. Oh the persecution.

Banished is a strong term there Strom. Is every player that doesn't start for 3 games and plays as a sub in one of them banished? Whatever else is going on Salah hasn't played recently because he's not been playing well so we were not missing his output because he wasn't doing anything and not offering any defensive help either. What he's done in the past will always be lauded but that doesn't help us right now does it? His amazing season last year doesn't win us 3 points in the next game, his form does and his form was awful, any other player would have been dropped weeks ago so if anything I think he's been getting preferential treatment.
Now that said, poor tactical use of Salah is on Slot, yes, but if he decides that's the way to go then he does so and is held to account as a result, which is what was happening.
All Salah needed to do was keep quiet, work hard, perform better and he would probably have outlasted Slot, the club can not force him out, contracts work both ways. As it stands, die to his outburst, I think he needs to leave for the club to maintain any sort of credibility over player power. No player is bigger than the club. Carragher's summary of the situation was spot on in my book.

He wasn’t exiled he was benched for 3 games. Stop making excuses for bad behaviour.

I see he’s at it again with pity posts on instagram showing him training alone. He’s acting like a bit of a brat to be honest.

Slot had every idea how to do that last year when he built the team around getting the best out of him and we won the league.
He wasnt exiled either, he was just dropped to the bench. Obviously his fragile ego couldn't handle it.
I agree tho on others being dropped, Konate and Macca should be on the bench also.

Well you say banished is a too much . he isn't allowed to travel tonight so what's that then . people taking the moral high growing on here, he should never have spoken out blah blah blah . looks like they've been trying to get rid of him behind his back who wouldn't speak out . as for his legs gone? What in 6 months he's gone from top scorer to over the hill.
n anyone taking any notice of Jamie Carragher needs their heads testing . end of the day we are dreadful with a manager out of his depth who plays players out of position n drops in form players , our record goalscorer is feeding on scraps because ot this boring slow pathetic football.

Banished would be too strong IF he was included in the squad today. Slot made (yet another) mistake by not including him. Yes Salah was wrong to speak out, but also, if what he was saying true, the club is wrong in the way they've treated him. Multiple things can be true at the same time. Another example: Salah has been poor, but so have Slots slow build up that don't give Salah space and allow the entire defence to be set before Salah ever receives the ball.
It's a tough situation now, but I can see that Slot has wrong idea of how to play and that all players look poor, so I don't think anyone can claim "Salah has lost it" - that's just silly to me.
I'm personally not ready to cash in on Salah because of his poor form when the whole team have looked poor. If he gets sold in January without a proper send off, that will be a mistake by the club that I will have a hard time forgiving.
