Great question. Carragher, Trent and SG became the players they could be because we showed faith in them very early on.
Klopp showcased a lot of our youth team in cup a couple of years ago, and McC was the standout for me. He wasn’t just tidy, he was damn smart in his choices.

I hope he can step up despite it not going to plan at Ajax. Did sign a big five year contract before his loan so there's that.

A big fan of McConnell. We should have never let him go as I thought he was ready for game time in the first team, IMO. I was disappointed Slot sent him off on loan, er Ed01.

Agree on McConnell, he’s exactly the type of player we need right now.
Controversial but I’d feel happier with him in for MacAllister right now.
2-footed, good vision, good at closing players down, doesn’t give possession away easily.

Aye, he’s exactly what we need. A young lad who has just got sent back by Ajax because he couldn’t cut it, hasn’t played a minute for Liverpool in the PL. How anyone can say he is ready for the PL or the answer to our midfield woes is beyond me.

Lots of players go out on loan at the start of their careers with varying success. Salah, Beckham, Kane (off the top of my head)
They’re not going to prove themselves, they’re going to get more games under their belt.

I never said he is the player we need to come back in. I said he should have been kept and never loaned out to begin with.
