Might be an unpopular opinion but Bradley is no where near good enough to be our first choice RB. Massive downgrade on Trent.
20 Dec 2025 22:03:59
Like TB2, I know English isn’t your first language, but I agree with you.
20 Dec 2025 22:06:17
He plays well against Real Madrid though.
20 Dec 2025 22:17:39
He’s shown in flashes he’s a good player, but his availability is a real concern. Be interesting to know whether young players with his injury record ever really grow out of it, it’s a shame but we can’t rely on him and will probably need to buy a replacement.
20 Dec 2025 22:21:23
Bradley has serious talent. Needs to stay injury free to find rhythm and better form. He can be a top right back but needs to put the hard yards in and keep working. He stays injury free, I'll think he ll go up a level.
He will never be trent on the ball. Just forget that expectation. It's pretty unrealistic.
{Ed025's Note - i dont think he has "serious talent" Davey, workman like yes but lacks quality for me mate...too many games like tonight imo..
20 Dec 2025 22:51:33
Bradley looks stifled in this team like a lot of the players. It’s like he’s playing with the handbrake on. Yes he has had a fair few injuries but he looks a shadow of the player when he first broke into the squad.
{Ed025's Note - im with you Irish..
20 Dec 2025 23:41:46
He is getting no rhythm. He has talent to be a very very good RB. Put it that way.
But he is injured, suspended whatever. He can't get going. And he has been a backup for a few years. So he is not overly experienced just yet.
The injuries are a concern. But I wouldn't write him off as a top RB yet. Needs to stop getting injured though and settle into a proper first choice role. If he can't sort out those injuries, we ll never truly know what he is. Like so many other injury prone players.
20 Dec 2025 23:43:13
Also he is one of the many many players that don't suit playing at the snail pace we do at the moment.
20 Dec 2025 23:52:51
I think he’s great but as Irish pointed out slots tactics could make prime messi struggle and look crap.
21 Dec 2025 00:33:14
Davey, I agree. The talent is there.
He's frustrated me this season, but I think back to his initial emergence in Jurgen's final year.
Remember how he ran that game against Chelsea? January of that season, I think? Direct, powerful, confident. He was everywhere.
There is a player in there. Developing that consistency is the final step.
21 Dec 2025 00:56:00
I think he could be a real top class full
Back for us but his constant breaking down is a huge concern. When do you start to think enough is enough and look to cut your losses and have a first choice starter that stays fit for the majority of the season?
Same with Gomez who’s had season after season of injury issues missing big chunks of playing time .
I’m not sure with teams nowadays being highly competitive for league positions you can keep risking keeping players that have suspect injury records as it’ll start affecting as it does us the continuity of playing a settled back 4 and it’s a wonder that Konate has managed to stay fit as well .
As for today having watched a fair bit again we had total control of the game for 80 minutes - I get the playing against 10 men for a huge amount of time but after Hugo scored the second it should of been a stroll - the constant turgid slow play throughout games is a concern for me but Slot isn’t responsible for 9 outfield players not being able to clear our lines in our own 18yd box for their goal same as he wasn’t responsible for Konate giving the penalty away at leeds and the same bad defending to concede a shocking goal at the far post last minute same game?
If we’d of won 2-0 today and agreement being it wasn’t a sparkling performance nothing like the criticism aimed at Slott would have been on here . The players were responsible for the last 10 - 15 minutes and there should have been enough experienced heads out there to have taken control of the situation .
Also not a lot has been said about Spurs kicking us off the park for 90 minutes, at least we tried to play a bit of football.
21 Dec 2025 01:24:57
With a new manager and change of system Bradley will be a great player. Trying to remember under Slot when we have had a dominant attacking display from any full/ wing back.
Trent was poor, robbo has went down hill and kerkez so far looks like one of the worst players i have seen in a liverpool shirt.
21 Dec 2025 02:22:09
Bradley is a great player . its his injuries that hold him back plus Slots tactics . but remember Gerrard had injuries when he was younger . hopefully he can overcome them.
21 Dec 2025 03:03:46
Maybe he just needs to work on his runs. He never seems to take a breath. He’s just in top gear all the time. That kind of energy can’t be good for staying fit. Who knows? Probably not me.
21 Dec 2025 06:10:30
Few things with Connor. He is being stifled but in any season we’re unlikely to have seen him play more than 50% of games. That’s a problem for him and us, as we won’t see the best of him.
It’s also a problem because we need a first choice competitor, and no one’s going to come to sit on the bench every time an injury prone young prospect gets fit. This is part of the reason the team can’t get going consistently, we’ve got a few key players in and out all of the time and we and they lose rhythm.
I think it’ll be looked at in the summer and a decision taken.
21 Dec 2025 08:04:09
Bmena -Red “Trent is poor” stop talking rubbish. “Robbo has gone downhill” more rubbish.
21 Dec 2025 08:50:31
Bmena - sorry totally disagree about Kerkez - he’s far from the worst player to put on a Liverpool shirt - he’s a kid and potentially could be a really good player for us and i've seen signs of improvement.
His confidence has been sapped but given the constant stick he takes on here and elsewhere probably i’ll give the kid a huge amount of credit for keeping his head up and giving 100%!
Give him a chance - like we did with Robbo and remember how that turned out for us.
21 Dec 2025 12:51:18
@Bristol Red. Hope i'm wrong about him mate but so far I think he has been awful. His fitness and lack of pace are v concerning as well.
You could be right about his confidence as he was also shocking against Northern Ireland recently, giving away a pen and losing his marker for 2nd goal. Again, hope he proves me wrong.
@Frode. c'mom man Robbo has clearly lost a yard. I love him, maybe my favourite player of the Klopp era and I was delighted he didn't leave in the summer. but he is no longer top level full back as he has shown last season and this. It's a game of opinions of course and i'm only saying what I see on the pitch.
21 Dec 2025 13:15:07
Bmena
Not too sure you’re right there mate. Northern Ireland’s latest results were a 1-0 against Luxembourg, an unlucky injury time defeat to Slovakia where Bradley was playing in a front 3 a 1-0 to Germany when Bradley didn’t play and 2-0 victory to Slovakia. No idea who you were watching mate but it wasn’t Bradley.
21 Dec 2025 15:47:34
Irish Rover - i'm talking about Kerkez mate, but i am mistaken it was the 3-2 against the republic where he gave away a pen and lost his marker.
21 Dec 2025 16:33:43
Bradley reminds me of Rob Jones talented but injury prone . Looking back Phil Neal and Alan kennedy were very rarely injured and that was when players could tackle now they have a sprint and their hamstring goes must be a reason?
