Hughes and co have serious questions to answer over this one. Centre back is a glaring signing that needed to be made and to lose Guehi to city for a £20 million plus extras fee is bordering on neglect.

The wages are too much 250k a week. Better off buying a taller and faster centre back who's not money obsessed.

Biggun, I would rather a CB who has position understanding, knowledge to know when to go and when to not and who isn't afraid to get stuck in, all of which are lackng from the guy Guehi should be replacing, it's a joke if we don't end up with the guy we were signing a few months ago and especially given the fact of how short we are at the back.

Virg is on 400k and gakpo who is lucky to be in our squad is on 250k a week. Geuhi was attainable if you think of his position, he's English and his price. Hughes however thinks a CB far past his best should have his wages doubled at 34 to remain and gakpo who should have been sold instead/ or with Diaz should have his wages doubled aswell.
Not sustainable. If we missed out of CL football these contracts would have us in serious chock holds financially going forward.

Guehi is a gamble. At 250k the risk is too high. CP plays like 10 men behind the ball which is very different to how we play.

If anybody thinks £20 million and £250k per week is too much for a centre back of the quality he has now shown himself to be - they need to have their head examined. Sorry but this is going to look at the club dropped a massive turd with this one.

Wassa, please get the fact that its not the fee, it's the wages. If you can't see that bringing in Guehi on £250k-£300k a week, when we have equally important players like Gravenberch and Szobo on far less than that (half? ) won't cause a problem, then there's no helping you.
