So that's 4 defeats in our last 5 matches, with probably another one on Sunday. How many is that now this season 14/15?

It's very alarming, but no one at the club seems bothered about it, which is even more alarming.

Every game we play is a worry, because we are so bad right now. Nothing seems to be right with the club for a number of reasons, and it isn't getting better any time soon.

The majority of fans appear to be fed up to the back teeth of our tactics, style of play, lack of fight, and general malaise throughout the team and the club as a whole.

Slot has failed in every sense this season, and will likely fail to get us CL for next season too.

The biggest worry, and dread for me is I am convinced he'll be in charge next season.

What a nightmare thought.

Now on 18. Rafa had 19 in 2004/2005.

Rafa actually had a clue what he was doing. Also, he didn't have 450 million to spend. He didn't have half the squad Slot does, and he had to deal with a board who was more than happy to sell off our top players. If Slot had to manage in Rafa's era he'd be battling relegation.

Selling Owen for £8 million is the most egregious sale I've ever seen. The Moores' reign was shocking.

Absolutely insane, Babbity, sold a Ballon Dor winner for £8m and got Cisse for £14m.

ChewySuarez, that isn't how it happened. Owen was refusing to sign a new contract, he was going to leave for nothing the following summer, and Rafa simply wasn't entertaining his silly games, particularly for a player who, even at 25, was well past his best.

Buying Cisse was another story, but I'm not even sure Rafa had much to do with that (I could be wrong there).

Tell me you're 12 without telling me you're 12.

15 Apr 2026 06:25:49
Rafa offered Owen the chance to stay and he didn't want to give Rafa a chance. Crazily, Owen preferred Alan Curbishly (that's right). Owen refused to sign a contract.
We also had a diabolical squad saved by a handful of top players. Slot isn't in Rafa's galaxy.

If Liverpool put in as much effort as they did last night, then we will end up in 3rd spot.

£8m for Owen was not as bad as it seemed because he was already done.
I don't care what he did after he left us because he did us a favour leaving just like Torres, both had been done through injuries. Was that because we were so reliant on both players?

Cisse was bought by Houllier.
Owen was messing the club and the fans around by saying he was signing a new contract, but his agent was on holiday, or his horse ate his agent's mobile, etc.
Selling Owen enabled us to sign Alonso.

Owen is old, stale news. Not arsed about him right now.

"The biggest worry, and dread for me is I am convinced he'll be in charge next season."

Mate, nightmare does not even begin to describe what we would be in for should this manager who has embarrassed this club all through the season to the point of staring down the barrel of 20 losses this season, be kept for one more season.

That simply cannot happen because those still saying he should be kept simply have no idea how bad things can get if you reward reprehensible behaviour with this manager.
