Well deserved after a well fought battle. We haven’t beaten Crystal Palace for 4 games and we haven’t beaten them at Anfield since 2021.

Lads are playing well (yes - they’re not the title winning form before you jerk your knee and rush back to tell me it was just ok and we’re still average).

Link-up play and pressing was good in patches all game. So happy to see that and continuation of fullbacks and wingers linking up more effectively.

8 points clear, one more win and a couple results go our way will tie up CL for next year.

Go you reds, end the season strong.

I appreciate your thoughts, but I thought we were terrible again yesterday. Far too easy to play through, press was crap and created hardly nothing. We had three moments of absolute quality and that was about the sum of it.

Woodman, for a third string and on game one start of the season, did a great job.

And I'm not one to down a decent performance. I was one of the few encouraged by our PSG performance, as I thought the aggression was far better, and although final third was lacking, I thought the rest looked a whole lot better until we tired in the end and they picked us off.

I wasn't singing and dancing, but I saw green shoots for the next Prem games.

Thankfully we got the results against Everton and Crystal Palace, but the performances have been nowhere near an acceptable performance level for me. Nothing is improving so far except the finishing. If they start missing those few chances again, we'll be back losing games in no time. I have to say, I'm Slot out more than ever. There's just no aggression in his style of play, save for a couple of one-offs.

I am with you, Davey. I thought we were awful to watch. The players are having two or three touches of the ball before passing it. Look at Robbo's goal, one-touch passing cut them to pieces and resulted in a great goal.

Another problem for me is, when we go ahead, we try to drop and defend a lot more, and I don't know how many times we have come unstuck and conceded a goal.

The system is not balanced, it is just not right. You cannot play a match at this level where, if you have a chance to score and then they have a chance to score, it is like watching junior football teams. You do not win trophies playing like that, as we have found out this season. YNWA.

Yeah, Davey. Winning while being awful is and has been the stock and trade of this team under this manager this season. Yours and @Albeydered's comments can be copy/pasted to the Everton game and many other games before that.

It is what it is.

Glad we are in the CL for next season, which should have been the barest of bare minimums based on the outlay last summer and that should not protect the manager from the sack his report card richly deserves.
