So Gravenberch doesn't understand the fans' reactions at the final whistle?
Well try watching your team play walking football, no intensity, pulling out of tackles, not winning any second balls, turning their backs on every opposition shot and getting out run every game.
Losing 18 games and getting days off as a reward!

I've been around all day, Retire. Gravenberch's comment just backs up what I've been saying all season, actually. These players are so far away from reality. I think anyone that thinks all of our problems disappear with a change of manager might just be a tad disappointed.

09 May 2026 20:50:48
Talk about being tone deaf and completely detached from reality.

Flo, no one is saying any of that last part you posted. What we are saying is that Slot is the reason for the majority of our issues from a tactical and team management standpoint and should have been gone months ago, end of.

And it is also clear that the players (or some of them) stopped playing for him a long time ago cos he doesn't train the team, can't/won't get them fit and doesn't seem to care about them. So why should they care if the manager and leader of the side doesn't?

Oh, and players don't train themselves, dictate which tactics to deploy nor do they decide the amount of time they get off.

That is your boy's job, and since he has been failing all season (that Anfield crowd ain't trying to see Slot here next season, btw).

So if we get a new manager who is way more committed than your Slot, get some new players in with a new directive and fresh energy, things can change, contrary to what you believe.

09 May 2026 21:59:11
Saying he doesn't train them is just not true, Oli, and there's been too much lies like that on here this season. I've always said the players have to take some blame. A lot on here, as the season has gone on, have come to see that too.

If you don't grand, I don't really care. He's not my boy, as you put it. I'm just not naive enough to think he's the only problem we have at the club.

09 May 2026 22:11:25
The tactics and manager have been poor this season, but the players have also been dreadful. Thousands a week, and they can't string a pass together or talk to each other on the pitch. Then you watch the training videos and it's all fun and games.

09 May 2026 22:12:34
Culture starts at the top. Is it true that Richard Hughes still lives in Bournemouth?

If so, he gets in the bin.

09 May 2026 21:40:05
I think the only disappointment will be in your demeanour Florian . Being proven wrong again will hurt as much as you admitting slot needs to go.

09 May 2026 22:38:02
If the players are not doing what Slot wants, he is perfectly entitled to drop them. This is on him primarily. It's more than just fitness and application, though. We got tore apart down our right flank all game today, and everybody could see it. What did Slot do? Nothing. Says it all. The man's either blind, incompetent, or not bothered.

09 May 2026 22:38:56
Retire the slot machine.
It's not a cock contest, mate, to prove who is right or wrong! It's a football banter site.

09 May 2026 22:40:05
I think some of this balkanisation between pro and anti Sloters is unhelpful. I am with Flo in that the immediate disgust for a title winning manager was, well, a bit unseemly.

Clearly, the wheels have fallen off the bus, and the performances since the final with Newcastle have progressively got worse.

It is clear that things have gone horribly wrong - but I certainly don't think that fans who hoped this manager could turn things around are the lesser for it. I remain in the camp of supporters who thought he could do it, but was wrong.

Let's maybe stick together?

09 May 2026 22:41:10
Florian,
You do have to find it bizarre how nearly all the players have been well below par this season tho.

10 May 2026 00:01:39
All these players are aloof, the majority don't even live in the Merseyside area, I've always said that they should live there to get a feel of the place, even the manager lives in Hale, the only time they come out n say anything is when they are attacked in the media, otherwise you wouldn't know anything about how they feel.

10 May 2026 00:31:34
Slot gets a lot of blame and he will have his share.

But for me, when the team is gutted of wingers, players (like Mo) fall off a cliff, and the players recruited aren't exactly a perfect match for how Slot plays, then I think there are more people who need to face the music.

Slot is bearing the full force and I just think it's a bit unfair.

10 May 2026 00:08:41
Retire you seem to be of the thought that i will actually give a duck if the club replace Arne?Sorry pal, if that happens i just move onto how were going to do under the next guy.Transient employees i think Ed002 used to call them.I support the club more than i love or hate a player or manager.i'll leave pining over or throwing darts at someone who's left the club ages ago to some of you lot.

10 May 2026 13:07:12
It's a basic misunderstanding; the fans are really booing Slot and his approach, not the players so much. It's the manager we really want gone. We know these players could much improve performances under better leadership.
