Some people should be giving a heartfelt apology to Carra and others if Diomande does sign.
And I say some people because some remain sceptical (fine), some prefer to believe people with a far more patchy past record (Romano / Ornstein) also fine.
But wow some of you, and these are only the ones that made it past editorial review, are just flat out mean and seem to revel in the mere thought that an ITK may be wrong?
Is it jealousy or what? Just seems mad to me how happy people can get if someone else is wrong, even if them being right is good for them and the club in this case.
Just blows my mind the way the world has gone sometimes.

Incredible, really, watching the folks on the board go from talking about wishing him the best wherever he ends up after reading his letter to his sister, to calling him a money grubbing con artist who played the club and that they don't want anything to do with him.
Let's just wait and see what transpires, I'm sure we'll all be disappointed if he doesn't join, but we've been through this kind of thing before (Bellingham, for example, though it didn't reach as advanced a stage as it has for Diomande), and we turned out alright in the end.

It's great fun reading the rumours from the guys that come on here. And they get some stuff right. There's not a soul out there in the media or elsewhere that gets everything right.
I read the rumours from Ornstein, Romano and all the folks on here. Everyone has been right over the other on occasion, but I like trying to imagine how a transfer rumour player could work in our team.
I know transfers are important to success and getting them right, but I do think people get too fixated on certain ones. I think everyone knows we are trying for Diomande, so they have fixated on him, but trust me, the season doesn't end if we miss out on this transfer.
We move on to the next one if we miss out.
Iraola was and would be anyway the most important signing we made this summer. Can't wait to see how we play under him.
I'm sure Diomande will go on to be a fine player so I still hope we pull it off. Particularly under Iraola or Enrique guidance.
But I will also say this. I've been underwhelmed by his World Cup performances. After everyone, the media hype the life out of his performance because he is on the transfer block for a big transfer.
I would say he has been decent and that's it.
He is only 19, so I get the potential is huge. I see both sides of the argument, so if we got him, I would be very excited to see if he can reach his potential, and if we don't, I will see it that the risk was probably too high and focus on the next guy we might get.
But never stop posting ITKs even if this one goes against you. I'm rooting for you to beat the journalists again, but if you don't, it just means your information wasn't 100 percent this time. And it's so easy because your sources might know their side of the story, but they might not know the PSG side of the story. I'm completely relaxed and will read your rumours whatever way this goes.
Rumours and info are given in good faith. And like I said, it's impossible to get every rumour right because no one knows the full side of the story unless you have contacts in Liverpool, Leipzig, PSG, Players' camp, Agents' camp and anyone else who could be involved, because they seem to be pulling in different directions a little on this transfer.
Whatever happens, ignore the people who think you have to be right every single post. And please keep giving us the info from the sources you do have.

The ITKs won't always be right and journalists won't always be wrong. And an ITK could post something that is true one day that doesn't turn out to be true on another day.
It doesn't mean they are wrong, making things up or lying. Things change.
Besides, most of the ITKs don't claim to be in the know anyway.

I just long for the days of an Oussamar Assaidi. I think that is the last transfer where I saw announced and came on here and no one knew he was or had a single idea that transfer was happening! Think those days are gone though, but was a bit simpler.

If he signs or not, we should be thanking the likes of Carra/TheFields anyway. They pass on what they know at the time - things can change and it's not their fault. They provide more meaningful contributions to this site than the idiots who slag them off.

Everyone here knows it's not 100 per cent until the player is signed. Until that point, a million things could happen. It's just good fun to speculate, with some potentially credible info based on the past success of some of these ITKs.
I hate the "what did I tell you all. I said he wouldn't sign and he didn't" nonsense. Well done you for being a pessimist. No doubt you thought Wirtz, Isak were not going to happen, or that Slot was going to stay, but we didn't hear a peep from you then.
These types of posters are just trying to kill the buzz and fun we have here. Or they have some insane fantasy that they are smarter than us, when in reality we all take these infos as rumours and enjoy the show.
Nobody is betting their life savings. Just a fun thing to do.
If you want my honest opinions of the ITKs, I think the guys genuinely have some contacts at Liverpool and that's most likely it. That can only ever paint the Liverpool side of the transfer story, which can never be the full picture. But for me it's better than no picture at all, which is what makes their info great fun to listen to. I'd hate to lose them to people who put them down and offer very little to the site at all, except to tell us how smart and right they are and only after the fact.
They were everywhere when Slot was supposedly staying and nowhere at all when he was sacked. Funny that.

I don't get why people feel the need to abuse. I don't necessarily feel the ITKs are actually ITK, but whether they are or not, what do you get out of being a p****?
I'm with you, Davey. Iraola is our most important signing. Diomande looks a talent, but the prices being quoted are crazy. I'd rather us avoid another summer of over spending tbh.
