Having done their best to ruin Elliot with a ridiculous loan, it's amusing to see that Villa have just captured Garnacho in the same kind of bargainl. Can't believe someone else would fall for their line having seen how last season's loan to buy deal worked out.

I think the Garnacho loan is different, with an obligation to buy. It's likely part of the Morgan Rogers deal, and Villa and Chelsea are just doing some financial gymnastics.

ND, could it be that Elliott got a raw deal at Villa cos Emery did not want him rather than the idea of the loan itself? Same way, Slot did not want Chiesa and treated him like dirt, as well, when he got signed?
Now I don't know if Emery wanted Garnacho, but we shall see if that is indeed the case.
