Valverde would be an awesome signing btw. I pulled the name out of my *SS when Victor hinted a marquee midfielder, but the lad is top of the pops when he wants to be.

He's a knobhead, him. Also not a player Madrid want shot of. Madrid only move players on in two circumstances, either you're a young player who isn't likely to get a chance, or a player who they spent big on and is either crap or absolutely rinsed. Hence why they're keen to get rid of Camavinga.

Thought Valverde the player that Vic on about. Only really marquee midfielder I could think of that would possibly be available. If u take it Madrid going to sign Rodri and Tchomeni supposedly staying there, given that Tchomeni and Valverde relationship they may might to get rid of 1, Valverde would bring in massive fee no doubt.
Valverde excellent player and would be great signing for us imo, what he like off the field I don't know.

Steer clear of Madrid. They're all divas. Fernando Morientes and Nuri Sahin were enough for one lifetime.

We signed Arbeloa from Deportivo La Coruna. But Antonio Nunez is another great example!
I don't think many players leave Madrid and go on to better things. I'm sure it has happened before and will happen again, but there must be a psychological factor to being at the biggest club in the world and then leaving. No matter where you go, it's a step down.

Valverde is a quality player, but signing him would surely add to the complete imbalance already at the club of too many similar midfielders for 2 or 3 positions.
Literally, every other position needs reinforcements for center mid/attacking mid.
