Think the possibility of us getting Mbaye and Barcola is very plausible and makes a lot of sense for both us and PSG. I think it will allow PSG to save face with the Barcola deal, as I think it will end up being closer to 110m than any higher, and we will spend an extra few on Mabye to make his deal look better than it should be, so it balances itself out and PSG look like they were tough for a top talent and got a great price for a bright prospect talent.
But have no inside info, just putting 2 & 2 together and getting 5 possibly just how I see it.

Talk of a fee of around 50m euros. Not sure how our analytics people assess the value of this type of deal when the guy hasn't played much senior football at all. Feels like we're scratching around. Jared Bowen would have made much more sense.

There are claims from French journalist Romain Molina about some crazy demands expected from agencies. More worryingly, are reports of PSG being frustrated that he is late for training, concerns about his physical condition due to his unsustainable diet and his increasingly growing ego. Seems a lot of this is driven by his parents.

Mbaye is a decent prospect and would certainly give us pace and dribbling up top alongside Munoz, Rio and Barcola (if we get that over the line).
I'm so surprised that we haven't looked at Savinho from City, as he is a class player, is available and wouldn't cost a fortune! Is anyone else worried that we will sign Barcola and Mbaye then sell Gakpo leaving us short in No9 position???

We have our own younger right footed left winger in Rio. Why buy someone 1-2 years further along than him?
Barcola, I get, he would either cover RW or, if Cody goes and we buy a RW, then he would rotate with Rio and/or go through the middle if Isak is unavailable.

Dow-ney, Savinho is not a class player, and you are the first person I have seen accusing him of that accolade.
The guy has been at City for 2/3 years, and they already wanted to sell him to Spurs after one season.
Last season he was anonymous; hence, they got Semenyo, who kept him on the bench.
Now, I do agree with you and am concerned about Gakpo leaving without us signing a back up no. 9. That's a big reason why I don't want him to leave.
