Why was a Manchester born and bred referee given that game? The sending off was a disgrace the first was not a yellow Anderson nothing wrong with him and he was up and running around as soon as the yellow card.
The second yellow card man city players had done the exactly the same on several occasion did not even got spoken to.
Man city were not going any where until the sending off.

I thought Chris Kavanagh was city's best player today. Closely followed by Florian Wirtz.

£$¥€, whichever one you prefer!
It's been happening since the Fergie days. La liga, serie A, all had issues with refereeing, nobody can, nor will, convince me the Premier Leagues squeaky clean.

It will be interesting to see what the pundits will tell us now because back in 18/19, they told us that Kompany could not be sent off for that vile challenge on Salah as the last defender because "Cos Anthony Taylor didn't want to ruin the game, per Owen Hargreaves.
Howard Webb said the same thing when Michael Oliver blatantly refused to send Kovacic off when he fouled Odegaard twice in succession vs Arsenal 18 months ago. All to City's advantage, btw.
Now, I guess it is okay to "ruin the game" for LFC (also to City's benefit) when Kavanaugh sent Grav off in such an intense high stakes game.
I guess it all depends on who you want to hurt and protect by "ruining" or "not ruining" the game.
{Ed025's Note - "nobody loves us everybody hates us guess ill go eat worms", give it rest Oli FFS mate..

Despicable refereeing, clearly on the payroll. Koumas and Munoz were getting absolutely mauled all game, and the ref did nothing. I knew we were getting a red the second Araujo got booked.

And there was me being told 'it is what is' losing to one of the best-if not the best- teams in the League and then told it was because of dodgy referees.
