Reports coming out about Semenyo are true to the best of my knowledge. We did look at him in the summer when Diaz left and as a potential replacement for Salah. I wouldn't expect this till the summer tho.
Don't be surprised if we bid for Guehi in Jan. We are looking at other CB's I'm told.

IF Mo is going to Saudi whilst he still hads a year left on his contract, Semenyo needs to come in as early as possible.

I love Semenyo but if I was him and one of our so called "fans" racially abused me, I wouldn't be wanting to join us as that would stick in my mind.

I would imagine if he's a direct replacement for Salah then that might appeal to the player rather than competing with Saka and Madueke. Also being told to fall down every other possession might not appeal to the player.

Do think who he supports would mean much actually. Gerrard and Carra were both Evertonians growing up, odegaard was a red, Kerkez was a United fan, and they all joined rival teams.
At the end of the day, players would join teams that are best for themselves and I think Semenyo would do the same. Whether he sees us as that or not remains to be seen.

What's the real concern here? If a player does not want to sign for us for whatever reason, we move on to the next target. This should be the way and always the way to run our club. However, if the player shows interest to join but is also considering other offers, then we can do our best to convince him and his camp.
