Thing is all these players signing for pep I don't think he'll be there next season! And then we can watch their bubble burst just like united when Fergie left ?.

His contract runs out in 2027 so he will stay one more season I reckon then leave.

Does not really matter if keep Slot here because he is jumping all over our bubble.

There not signing for pep they sign for city. City are a very well run club and will always have a good manager in charge.

Funny how they all mention him though!

You watch, they'll go and get Enrique when Pep leaves.

Semenyo fair enough as other than the rumours from the ITKs, he was never coming. But Guéhi was in our kit and coming so just go and get him now for gods sake as we really need him.

You never know, by the time citehs next manager has completed his or her contract in 5 or so years time, they'll have come to a decision on the charges…. maybe.

The majority of players signing for City are, at heart, mercenary.
They go for the money. Sure, they want to be part of a successful club and they want to win things too and they want to work with Pep.
All that is fine, and in varying degrees will be true for a lot of players. The fact that money is a major factor isn't a problem either - you can't begrudge anybody making the best living they can.
All that said, and it's a view I've had since as long as I can remember - if a player wishes to play for somebody else rather than us, then I don't want them at the club.
I'd add in the recent case of Semenyo that other than social media saying we were interested a couple of months ago, there appears to be - for whatever reason - no real evidence that the club were actively trying to bring him in.

City won a couple of prem titles before pep arrived and unfortunately if Enrique follows they will continue to win after he's gone.

ED01 suggested that Enrique to City would be a distinct possibility. I would agree. They'll continue to be the team to beat after Pep retires elsewhere. I would also suggest that unless things are going tits up for Alonso, he'll be staying at RM and who'd blame him.

shanklys ghost - Fully agree, Enrique has publicly stated he would like to work in the Premier League if the right opportunity became available, with City being the dominant team and both managers entering the final year of their contracts it seems to be lined up perfectly.
I've been saying the same thing about Alonso all year, he snubbed us once to stay at Leverkusen, I genuinely can't believe some people are entertaining the idea that he'd walk on Real to set up shop on the Mersey, I think they must forget who he is,
