Evening Gents,
Alonso is still not out of consideration, and Liverpool still see him as an option. As I said last week, they have been talking to him, Luis Enrique, and Andoni Iraola.
From my understanding there's a split between Alonso and Iraola at the moment.
But, as it stands, slot will not be in charge.

I've always wanted Iraola over Alonso. I noticed a recent interview with one of the Bournemouth players the other day, after the news Iraola was moving on and the player, forget which one, said that the entire squad will run through brick walls for Iraola, they hugely respect him and adore him. He didn't make the heights that Alonso did as a player (or indeed Arteta did) but as a manger I believe he has surpassed Alonso.
To lose half your first team (for God knows how many millions to the benefit of Bournemouth's spreadsheet) and then to replace them for far less and be only 6 points behind us is extremel;y impressive.

Increasingly likely is not definitive. It was increasingly likely that Guehi and Semenyo would sign but things change in a moment, especially in this game.
I still think it'll be him, Iraola or Hoeness.

Enrique isn't leaving PSG, Araola is off to Chelsea and we're left with Arnold Slop until he's inevitably gets sacked two months into next season.

Interesting mate! Wouldn't be shocked if Slot and the club come to mutual agreement this summer and part ways.
The man is back home often to his young family and we need someone who is 100 percent all in on the football club but also embracing the city, to understand us you have to fully understand the people who have made and make the club what it is.
Think Arne is a good bloke, but maybe the lack of the emotional link will end up being his downfall.
Side note, I wouldn't at all be shocked if his next club is Ajax.

I don't get it with Iraola. What has he really done at Bournemouth that Brendan Rodgers didn't do at Swansea. He won a cup in Cyprus nearly a decade ago, Alonso won a team its only ever league title unbeaten.
