Hi all,
New to posting on here, and had this name for a while but there was no point posting it while they were still in the tournament.
Keep an eye on Malo Gusto, definitely been looked at and open to a move with Chelsea signing Palestra. Club like him a lot but won't pay the heavy fee quoted earlier in the window.

Wouldn't be a terrible signing, he's kinda a Ireola type player. Would rather have Neco Williams back though.

Agree with King Kenny, Gusto looks to be on his way to City to play under his former manager if the two clubs can agree a fee.

I really like Spence. I know lots of negative comments on here, but he's quick and feisty, never gives up, and has a great engine. Could cover both left and right back.

{Ed001's Note - he is an awful defender, who doesn't work back, he gives up constantly which is why he is so far out of position constantly. Watch him on the Argentina goals - one of them he is literally just stood watching for ages making no attempt to close the cross down. Terrible player, even when he goes forward he just runs until he gives the ball away. I don't know what people watched as he was woeful.}

We seem to be even thinking of adding players who need to be coached into what we need. This is crazy stuff.
Everyone can improve and evolve, but we shouldn't be contemplating too many newbies who need intense coaching; we need some experience.

Gusto is crap and Chelsea want about £75m for him so we can safely say, we won't be singing him. Might end up reunited with Maresca.
As for Spence, I wouldn't mind him for the sort of fee floated around a few weeks ago (£35m), but I imagine he'd cost us £60m+ which doesn't make any sense tbh.
Great 1v1 defender with incredible athleticism though, will do very well at the right club. Supposedly major attitude issues too.

Welcome mate. Really hope you're wrong. Don't see a player in Gusto at all. Last night he was the worst player on the pitch, closely followed by Konate. No idea how he lasted full 90 and ended up costing France the comeback with a stupid tackle to compound his performance.
Even with our current options I'd rather try Ramsey than spend money on that lad.

Malo Gusto couldn't kick snow off a rope. Terrible going forward, and even worse tracking back. And he's French. He's as useful as a week-old stale baguette. I'd rather s*** in my hands and clap than sign him.

Ed001, I think this is a regular phenomenon on here. I think a lot of fans think other players are better than ours or think will make us better just because they don't play for us.
I mean, you have guys like Gusto (or Pedro Neto) who is absolutely awful but because he plays for someone else, people think they are better than the ones we have or think they can help us whereas, these players are not good at all. Just a thought.
