He's anything but proven on the big stage, he had one good game for Egypt v Argentina.
At club level, he has played all but one season (last season) in second tier football and below. In his only La Liga season, he recorded 3 assists and 0 goals for Oviedo, who were immediately relegated again.
Hardly prolific with goals or assists, even in the second tier - 8 goals and 14 assists in 139 games in La Liga 2.
He would not cut it in the PL. Assaidi level signing.

We don't need a back up to Rayan if we go for him. We would have Munoz, Rio, Barcola, Rayan, Chiesa plus youngsters and fringe players like Frimpong as wingers.
You need to give enough minutes to all of them to keep them sharp and firing.
