Surely the Trent return that seems to be on a lot of media outlets is untrue? I would take him back, but I'm not sure we would be interested. Anyone know if this is true?

It would kill me to take him back, but his ball progression is a serious cheat code. I took it for granted tbh. VVD is the only ball playing defender we have (although Jacquet looked very comfortable on the ball in both of his games).

Real have 2 RBs. If somebody can explain to me why they would be willing to lend us 1, I'll gladly entertain it, but until then, it's utter nonsense.
He did an interview recently in which he was asked about how he dealt with the animosity from Liverpool fans when he left, which sparked a whole load of nonsense conspiracy theories about him returning to Anfield, then, Dumfries started ahead of him last week, furthering speculation.

Trent wasn't that good at defending at right back, not shockingly bad, but not that good!
The whole system was designed to get the best out of him.

It isn't so nostalgia kicks in wanting a rb that many of these people slated back then, to come back remembering how "good" he was.

I'd take Trent back on a free and we write off whatever is left of the 10m they sent us in the end. He comes out and admits what a huge mistake he made humble pie humble pie humble pie apology. I'd also take him back as a loan where we only pay his wage.
I'm aware he's not available on a free but might be on a loan. But they are the only circumstances I'd take him back, Madrid didn't like him enough to pay market value for him and neither do I, nor should anyone at LFC imo.

Funky 061 Vvd's days as a ball playing centre back ended like two seasons ago, nowadays he's too scared, only see him hoofing balls these days.
