If we are going for old players we might as well just put a proper bid in for Kimmich, and let Bajetic flourish under his wings for a couple of years. Amrabat or Endo makes no sence if the blan is a rebuild.

It’s not about age. We got rid of Fab because he lost his legs. Never seen this Endo play but as long as more mobile than Fab then I don’t see the issue. Seems to cover both CB and DM and better to have someone through the door while we hopefully work on a bigger target.

Sander Berge is the latest rumour. Seems a 2001 classic with a vengance. Seems the sort of quality we should avoid at this point of the window. Not saying he is bad, I just don't see him improving us much. Has anyone heard anything? Other transfer subjects?

I'm not against signing players from the Championship per se. But he's a big lump who can't move.

He's actually a good player and deceptively mobile. I'm not sure he's the right signing for a club of Liverpool's level in terms of a long term starter, but might be a cheap stop gap if we're set on waiting for Bellingham, who would then be a decent squad player.
Everyone moaned when we signed Wijnaldum (relegated at the time with Newcastle) and Robertson (relegated with Hull) . Berge isn't a bad player just because he got relegated. He is certainly far too good for the Championship.

May I ask what your oponion is about a potential record deal for Caicedo, Ed002? No doubt he would be a good addition, but has the club gone mad breaking the record for him? Is he worth over the double of what was asked for Lavia? Could Chelsea still land a better bid?

{Ed002's Note - I think he is an excellent player and will be a very good addition for Liverpool. There is no way to compare the worth of players financially. Chelsea made it clear that they would not pay more than £100M so it is most unlikely they will make another bid.}

"Interest" is a funny substance. Im sure about half of all clubs in the world hold interest in the two player. Ed, do you see Liverpool make their interest specific in any of two by any chance, and do more than just have the players drink coffee and making friends with them? Personaly I think both are out of reach. Maybe not financialy, but I just feel like history shows that 8 of 10 ends up being pursuaded by glam and money. Having one of either Enzo or Bellingham would be a proper statement.
