The amount of lazy pundits that make obvious statements, is laughable, they all say that we are missing Mane, which in part is a massive player to replace but Diaz is more than good enough, I also know for a fact in Mane stayed they would be saying our front 3 needs freshening up, I thought we created some very good chances yesterday and it will click very soon. Gomez was again superb yesterday, he is holding the defence together at the moment.

Diaz is a brilliant player but he plays a different position to mane. He’s more of a natural left winger than inside forward imo.

Our team is evolving and our style of football is changing. I think it’s going to take some time for the guys to get used to this new system.

2.) 04 Sep 2022

I thought Gomez was very poor yesterday.

OP funny enuff, it’s prolly the same pundits saying this now, that were saying that Mane was in decline last season and prolly needed to be sold. Fir me, Never pay attention to whatever a pundit says cos they are only interested in being right hence, they change their opinions depending on wherever the wind blows. A complete waste of time, imo.

We’re missing Mane, as well as Gerrard, Suarez, Torres, Fowler, Rush, Dalglish, StJohn, Callaghan…. How long are they going to go on about it? When we played badly over the last couple seasons Mane was also there. I actually think it was the right time to sell him. Mane didn’t become top class overnight and it might take a while for others to do so.

There are very few pundits who actually have a good analytical understanding of football. Some of what they say is pure trash. There are many fans who could do a better job, not to mention the Eds on this site.

Mane couldn’t play on the left anymore. Infact if it wasn’t for that last hurrah Center forward, Bayern wouldn’t have touched him.

04 Sep 2022 12:17:32
I thought Gomez was our best defender yesterday.

Loved that, Razor. A Razor Sharp comment indeed, lol. There’s a reason Klopp told Neville and Carra to their faces that he NEVER listens to them.

"Gomez was again superb yesterday"

lol.

Time to show we’re mentality monsters.

{Ed025's Note - I don’t know about mentality but VVD was certainly a monster yesterday JK. That tackle on onana was horrendous and it was not that long ago that Pickford was castigated and tipped for a public hanging for something similar. Yet not a peep out of your fans now mate..

10.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 13:09:32
Ed025 that VVD tackle was not good but can’t compare it to Pickfords that was above the knee and took him out for nearly a a year. It was as not as bad as even Richarlison that took Thiago out for over 3 months. So come on Ed let’s not be silly.

{Ed025's Note - both reckless challenges for me grino….”people who live in glass houses “ and all that..

11.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 13:11:34
Ed025 you’ll probably find that some will blame Onana for not moving his leg out of the way. He could have easily have caused damage to the ball of Vvds foot with his shin.

{Ed025's Note - I never thought of that JK…good point well made.. ?

12.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 13:11:43
Comparing VVDs tackle against Pickfords is like comparing me not taking my neighbours bin out to Putins invasion of Ukraine.

{Ed025's Note - that’s exactly the response I expect from your lot mikey..

13.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 13:12:47
debating someone on facebook about our transfer dealings and I gave up when the guy said that we still haven't replaced Coutinho

I think the team will be fine. I think fans here are still crippled by 30 years of trauma cemented by a few monthds of Hodgson. Klopp and the team are working away, currently embedding new players as they refersh the squad. I think we'll be fine and competing for trophies and the title as we should be. THe title obviously needs more consistency but I believe this squad is capable.

14.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 13:40:14
Personally, the vvd tackle was bad but not a red card, as confirmed by one of refs who was working with the pundits. I mean if that was red card, then Onana should have been sent off for his ‘tackle’ (if you can call it that) on carvalho. I also think what the big deal with Anthony Gordon is…. yes he’s fast but he also falls over every 5 seconds. He’s a poorer version of jack grealish (and grealish is overrated too) .

15.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 13:45:13
Ed025. Some players never recover from knee injuries. Behave. Bad tackle by virg but pickfords was potentially career ending.

16.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 14:08:48
Ed025, it was a bad challenge and one that I personally wouldn't complain if he saw red for. But it definitely wasn't on the same level as the Pickford challenge on VVD.

{Ed025's Note - it was really drac. Both possibly career threatening rash challenges. But I dont expect reds to admit it mate. It’s not how you are made..

17.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 14:36:27
Thoughts on high tackle on Nunez ed025? The one where Nunez was on the floor punching his shin following the tackle?

{Ed025's Note - the new Andy Carroll is a bit of a pussy mate. Hardly touched him..

18.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 15:00:05
You can tell Ed025 is struggling to make a case for it being a red card because he has to make it about Liverpool fans ?.
It's an ad hominem argument. I wouldn't blame Everton fans for Onana not getting a red for wiping out a young kid half his size.

{Ed025's Note - maybe the kids should go out in a suit of armour then rigsby? It’s a man’s game!! Am I allowed to say that these days?.. ?

19.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 15:28:35
Fickford didn’t even get a yellow for what he did on vvd did he? But vvd is booked for that tackle. What is your point Ed025?

{Ed025's Note - I’m not the referee welly. But for me both should have seen red. Not that any of you should see it like that because you are all up yourselves and have an inferiority complex. The refs always favour other teams. Var is always against us. We always get fouled and our players are saints..it’s sad more than anything mate..

20.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 16:02:57
What was the advice you dispensed when Pickford ended van Dijk's season, 25? "Just get over it" was the gist I believe?

Well then. Just get over Onana getting a bruise on his leg and being able to finish the game.

{Ed025's Note - my take was actually that Pickford should have been in prison actually SR. But I have to say mate that the reputation of Liverpool supporters knows no bounds..

21.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 17:20:40
Pickford's tackle wasn't a red card either.

22.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 16:44:16
ED25, it's not just the Liverpool fans, who say it was just a yellow and not a red. Ex refs and players are all saying the same thing. The only ones demanding a red, are Everton fans and Fat Frank. Do you not think that they are biased.

{Ed025's Note - all fans are biased mate..

23.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 18:30:31
It's not a man's game, Ed025. Women play, too, you sexist so-and-so.
And 'the reputation of Liverpool fans knows no bounds' doesn't even make sense, Sir.
What's wrong with you? ?.

{Ed025's Note - I was actually quoting Graeme sourness rigsby. And Liverpool fans are the most biased in the history of the game..

24.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 19:16:52
“All fans are biased, mate” - Ed25. So should we include you in this group then, Ed25? I’ll wait.
As for the tackle on Onana, I wouldn’t have had ANY issue had VVD gotten a red so don’t include me in that group of LFC fans you’re referring to.

And Comparing the tackle on Onana that put him out for a couple of minutes, to the the brutal assault by Pickford on VVD that cost him a full season, is like you jumping in a bid to reach for the stars (with such a ludicrous comparison) only to end up hitting your head on the ceiling of your house. Clearly, Hyperbole is not your thing. Neither is effective trolling. Nice try, tho.

{Ed025's Note - I must admit I do have a slight bias oli. But nowhere near the heights the reds reach mate…they have legendary status and can see no wrong in their players manager or club. The 2 challenges were reckless and of equal proportions it’s just that one of them had weaker legs..

25.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 19:34:22
I reckon VVD was lucky to not see red. if that role was reversed, we'd be all be saying it was a red card.

I must also admit that the studs up straight leg tackle on Nunez also deserved a more severe punishment (although just giving a foul would have been a more severe punishment)

Things could be worse though peeps. We will come good.

Keep the Faith.

26.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 20:38:39
Rd25, the last part of your post made me laugh. You can do banter after all. Who knew? ??.

{Ed025's Note - I have had worse said about me oli mate.. ?

27.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 20:39:02
25 seems to have lost the ability to banter sensibly and is going full on troll.
I could put it down to Coady's disallowed goal and their exuberant celebrations but he was getting hysterical about Klopp last week.
I hope he sorts himself out soon.

{Ed025's Note - I like to bring the alternative view rigsby and at times play devils advocate. It promotes discussion but is based on truth and let’s face it some of you need bringing back down to earth mate.. ?

28.) 04 Sep 2022
04 Sep 2022 21:35:39
Yeah, yeah cos we're all the same, Ed025.
I suppose any attention is better none, mate.
Keep up the devil's advocating ?.

{Ed025's Note - will do rigsby mate..

29.) 05 Sep 2022
05 Sep 2022 00:39:50
Ed 025, you can’t have it both ways. You and every Everton fan defended Pickford for that horrendous challenge on VVD. You can’t come back and say VVD should be red carded for a challenge that he walked away from. VVD missed the rest of the season. Any Everton “fan” who defended Pickford and are now upset at VVD should just stop. Hypocrisy at the highest.

30.) 05 Sep 2022
05 Sep 2022 12:01:11
Van Dijk wasn't running at pace or out of control, he stood and made the tackle, soft lad rolling round as if he had been Harry Kaned, yellow was correct.

{Ed025's Note - I suspect you have never played football Lancaster. That type of challenge really hurts mate and it was borderline red for me. VVD is a big unit and caught him between the boot and the shin pad…ouch..
