ed1! just been thinking about the whole Sugar daddy owner thing. Liverpool isn't exactly Madrid, Paris, etc etc So I was wondering about the likes of an Mbappe, Neymar type of super elite player realistically coming to Liverpool and whether we would have to offer an even more enticing financial package to bring them to the city? I'm not sure if I 've worded that correctly but hopefully you get what I'm asking!

{Ed001's Note - whatever it takes to attract a player like Neymar, I would hope we would never pay it because I wouldn't want scum like that at the club. As for Mbappe, he will either join because he wants to play for Liverpool or he won't. The finances are not really an issue or he would be at Madrid earning a lot more than PSG offered him. Even Florentino Perez admitted they offered him more than PSG.}

Tommy Smith would turn in his grave at the sight of Nrymar in a Liverpool shirt. An absolutely abhorrent individual.

So what you are saying Ed is that mbappe wants to play for us and the money doesn’t matter. Right. I’m off to Twitter to spread the good news.

haha I guess what I'm getting is - what will really change with richer owners? I find it difficult to see the world's biggest names coming to us like some fans seem to think would happen and the geography plays into it. So was wondering about that. Bit like in America where some franchises have to pay a bit more depending if their state does state income tax.

To repeat an old joke on here.

Mbappe? Are we looking for a new sporting director?

Klopps comments today

In the structure we had, we obviously were able to spend money, but it was always that we really have to look ‘what do we earn? ’, that was always the situation. That’s clear, ” he replied.

“In the end, we all know the two biggest transfers we did in the past, with Ali and Virg, how it happened – because we got money from Barcelona and spent it wisely!

“That’s the situation. For me, how we did it so far brought us where we are, so fine. But fresh money is no mistake, let me say it like this!

“Nothing gets cheaper, not only because of the inflation rate for all of us, but in football as well.

“Yes, sometimes you have to spend.

But around, from time to time, you have to throw in proven quality, and in an ideal world they are young as well – or not 35.

“And yes, for that, from time to time you have to take some risks and we’ll see.

“I have no idea what will happen, but I’m positive about it.

Paris isn’t all it’s made out to be. Surprised with the Neymar comments can’t say I know much about him off the pitch bar him seeming like a diva but on it he’s superb.

{Ed001's Note - he was dumped by Nike for trying to rape their liaison.}

Ed1 that's a surprise that Madrid offered Mbappe more than PSG.

{Ed001's Note - maybe but they did.}

What about mbappe ed? People been saying his attidude stink, maybe not at neymar level though.

{Ed001's Note - he has been the victim of a smear campaign. Considering his whole argument with Neymar was because Mbappe turns up for training every day on time and stays behind to do extra training, while Neymar skips training regularly as he is out on the lash each night, I don't understand why Mbappe is the one whose attitude is questioned constantly. The only attitude problem Mbappe has really shown to have is a major dislike of Neymar and not getting on with Messi because he is Neymar's best mate.}

I wouldn't want owners that would want the likes of neymar as a show pony. the ego and inflated wages not for me. Not that much wrong with way we work, it's just that extra bit financially to be put into team. Keep trying to bring threw your own players if they going enough, but when we need to address an area in team that weak, do it and do it quickly.

Aoe, if you spread it on twitter, make sure you do it as Jurgen klopp, £8 and a blue tick and you’ll go viral in minutes!

Imagine the fume if we got new owners who bought Mbappe for £150 odd million on a £500k a week contract and he turned out to be injury prone when exposed to the rigours of the Premiership?

On the subject of "sugar daddy's " how do you think Newcastle is going with theor new owners, I remember Ed 02 called it that they wouldn't go and splash like city.

Never know that is what happen behind the scene ed. Mbappe is constantly made look as the "bad" guy on media. They made it look like everything that happen in PSG must got Mbappe approval etc. Even the pundits are criticizing him and praising Neymar and Messi as the "good" guy.

Mbappe? Can he play in midfield?

While I will certainly not defend that entitled scumbag, Ed1 should you maybe add ‘allegedly’ somewhere in that statement about Neymar and Nike. I don’t want my daily read shutdown because some rich footballers PR team decide to sue you for defamation ?.

{Ed001's Note - nothing alleged about it, Nike booted him for attempting to rape their female liaison to them. That is what the Nike statement said and he has done nothing about disputing it. Never bothered Puma though, who jumped in with a sponsorship deal for him as soon as they read the statement.}

If Neymar ever came to Liverpool, would be a sad day, a complete and utter Twat.

Omg accidentally liked the OP, sorry. Think Neymar is an execrable item who I would not want anywhere near us, or the rest of the Prem for that matter.

Well I never heard that about neymar before ed. Had a Google and read what nike had to say. Wow. What a absolute scumbag. However it took nike over a year to act on it too. Some footballers think they do what they want. Supposed to be role models.

{Ed001's Note - they had to wait on the victim to make a decision on pressing charges or not. If they had acted and then she decided to press charges, it would have led to a lot of complications. It is not as simple as they waited a year.}

Fair enough ed. Full of knowledge aren't you mate. Who's the biggest ever scumbag footballer.

{Ed001's Note - possibly Robinho? Good friends with Neymar and involved in gang rape. Really nasty horrible piece of work.}
