Lets wish TAA all the best. We all heard horrid stories like Coutinho when they left Liverpool, here we have special system to play to their strength, it may not be same in Madrid. Do you think Vini, Mbappe will track back to help TAA?

Not in a million years but doesn’t Vini play on the left? And Mbappe centre-left? So they will be on the receiving end. Camavinga will be tasked with covering, like Henderson used to.

Wouldn't wish him all the best at all, we will likely meet him in a champions league tie. No ill will towards him, but far from wishing him the best.

He's chosen to leave his boyhood club and trade his legacy to play for a rival. He gets no well wishes from me.
We'll show him the door. That's about all he should get from us.

No ill feelings towards him, to me his just another player who gave me moments of joy. But falls into the category of Mcmanaman, owen, coutinho, and saurez. Not a legendary player, just a past player.

And they want him early. I'd say refuse and make them wait. Madrid are scumbags.

Coutinho gave us £140 mill which funded the purchase of Allison and VVD. I respect him for that.

Personal glory hunting may not turn out as hoped. Systems and avid support greatly contribute to the fine margins of success.
At Real he is another Galactico in a crumbling team full of tools.

I get those who are hurt and disappointed with Trent leaving, and I am certainly disappointed BUT.
I really hope this doesn't transition to boos when he plays in the next few games or worse, some kind of negative reaction during the trophy lift or parade for him personally.
They guy has given 20 years of his career to liverpool and is a big reason and factor to the recent success - he deserves the right to enjoy and celebrate this league win without the minority of fans chanting or spreading hate.
Yes we can say Liverpool made him but he has fulfilled his contracts, put in the hard work etc.
If anything winning the league this season just goes to show that this move is not about money or anything like that - they guy has won everything with us and wants to further challenge himself in a new league etc. We don't have to agree but we can respect his decision and thank him for all he has given us.
I love this club, and the togetherness and passion we have as supporters is a big factor as to why I support Liverpool and have done for 35 years. The majority show respect, remain humble and I really hope that remains the case during this Finale to the season. Bitterness is not helpful and so far it is what distinguishes our fan base (in the majority) from others in my opinion.
I sincerely wish Trent well, would love to see him be successful too (just not against us), and for the minority sending him hate etc my guess is most of them:
- Were the ones slagging him off if he made a mistake in the last 10 years
- Bitter he hasn't gone for a. fee BUT also would be bitter if he had signed a contract and put in a transfer request instead
I hope he gets a good send off like he deserves for everything he has contributed to the club.

Sailor, Trent gave 20 years to LFC and you and others turned on him because he wants to try another country.
What happened to YNWA?
06 May 2025 12:38:31
What given 20 years of his career to Liverpool are you talking about! He was in the academy for a good part of those 20 years
He is just 26 years old who ran down his contract so that he can go for free . His "love" for the club disappeared in thin air while talking to real and not signing a contract with us.

Respecting Coutinho, a player who refused to play for us by feigning a back injury, over Trent, who played through injuries and got painkilling injections to be available for us, is kinda wild.

Good luck to Trent, he's given LFC years of dedication, and LFC have given him great chances in life. We all move on .
